Spacious luxury loft located 100m away from Marienplatz. This is the most centrally located apartment you will find in Munich.
This is a fabulous penthouse apartment. There is one very large room which acts as living room, office area, sleeping area and dining area at the same time (see pictures). Please note that the different sleeping places are all located in the same room, although not directly next to each other. Separate kitchen. Spacious bathroom with daylight window. 12-15 foot ceilings throughout. The whole apartment is very bright during daytime and absolutely quiet during night due to its high location in the 6th floor. There is a lift to the 5th floor so that you do not have to walk. Top quality hardwood floors.
The loft is located at the top floor of a prestigious building located at Perusastraße, 100m off Marienplatz and 25m to Maximiliansstraße, the main shopping street! The English Garden, many shops and numerous restaurants are within easy walking distance.
The whole apartment has been freshly repainted earlier this year and is in a top-notch condition.

Great flat, located in the heart of Munich, full of light. It has all the necessary equipment, nice kitchen, good washing machine, lots of clean towels. Stayed there for 1 month and have nothing to complain about. The owner is friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place!!
Marc was very considerate and helpful with directions and other information. The flat was clean, spacious and nicely appointed. The location was truly unbeatable and really quiet - even at night (nothing but bells). The comfortable beds were especially appreciated.
Marc´s flat has a great location near Marienplatz and in a very fancy shopping area, with public transportation very accesible. It is on the top floor and very quiet. There is no closed bedroom, but it accommodates 4 people comfortably as it has one full bed, and 2 sofabeds. The bathroom is spacious. The kitchen has the basic equipment for a short stay. We stayed for 5 and a half weeks, so we suggested that a toaster and small microwave would be useful, as we had to toast our bread or heat up using the stove and pans all the time. Perhaps for future guests this will be taken into account. Marc is a very nice person, polite and helpful. Definitely, a very good choice for Munich.
Spacious loft in a great location. Very light. An ideal place for a family of 3-4 people. Marc met us just in time, and gave detailed advice. Problems during the stay was not. Thank you, Marc!
Marc's flat is great; perfect location for sightseeing, shopping and for business meetings. It is large, clean and well appointed. For example Marc provides a real Krups coffee maker as opposed to all the variations of turkish coffee makers one usually finds in a flat. Filters too!. Monika met us on a busy Saturday which means lots of pedestrian traffic on the block and no vehicles to the front door at #3 Perusianstrasse. We pulled in by the Opera's taxi stand across from the Spatenhaus (ground floor of #3 and a local landmark restaurant and yummy--its a high end, traditional Bavarian style semi-touristic $$$ place) and shuttled our bags up to the flat (elevator to 5th floor then one floor walk up). The flat has plenty of lamps for reading which is a thoughtful touch that also distinguishes it from other rentals. The big TV didn't get any use from us but the wifi did and it is fast and robust. Plenty of towels and linens in the armoire. The kitchen is well equipped with dishwasher and a combo clothes washer/dryer which worked will for us. We didn't need to buy any utensils for the kitchen in order to eat there during our 5 day stay; that too is unusual for rentals. Sleeping in the flat is easy. If you like hearing the church bells in the morning you will be disappointed unless you open the abundant windows. The flat's solid walls block out noise from the street. We didn't hear much of anything from our neighbors in the building. There isn't much traffic on the steps or in the lift. I think most of the other units are offices. Marc's flat may not be the cheapest alternative it is certainly a great choice as an alternative accommodation to a 4-5 star hotel and a ground zero location (with a kitchen you'll save on eating out! lots of shopping in the surrounding block, so many cutting edge retail and restaurant concepts too). There is so much public transportation at your doorstep. The tram runs up Maximillian Strasse and right by the front of the building. The MarienHof U-bahn station (U3 & U6 lines) is 272 steps (I counted) on the back side of the famous Rathaus (City Hall). Another 100 steps around to the front is the Marienplatz and its central hub U-Bahn station. We had no trouble wheeling our luggage from the flat to here. A cab from the airport is 120 Euros but the S1 and S8 trains are steps from baggage claim, cost 14 Euros and drop you at Marianplatz in about 45 minutes without changing trains. The UBahn and S-trains run on the honor system and they never check--except for this year when I saw a girl get a citation for a 40 Euro fine. Perhaps worth the risk but why, they're so clean and safe. Munich BTW is VERY safe. I walk the Tal until dawn, never an issue.
The location of this apartment was perfect for accessing all of Munich for Oktoberfest and general sightseeing. In addition, it is very clean, spacious, and well-appointed. Marc is a great host, and was super friendly and easy to contact. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Munich.
Falsely represented as luxurious!
The owner is located in Frankfurt, not in Munich, and was ineffective in responding to our many requests to fix problems in the apartment. We were not given the complete mobile number of the owner's representative in Munich which created a stressful delay in obtaining the keys to the apartment.
The television never worked during our entire stay. We learned that the owner was aware that the television was not working for 2 weeks prior to our arrival; he did not tell us and did nothing at all to fix it.
The first two nights there was no interior lighting that worked on any of the stairwells. The elevator did not work and we were forced to walk up six flights of stairs in total darkness. It was not until after two days of complaints to the owner that we were planning to report the safety violation to the City of Munich that the lights were turned on. The elevator was dirty with building materials and slopped beer. There was no lighting in the front entry way of the building. There was garbage with overflowing cigarette butts located at the door, both of which posed a safety hazard.
The apartment was not safe. The cord for the TV and Wi-Fi was draped over a doorway and was a safety hazard.
The furniture was too large for the area and there was too much of it; it jutted out, partially obstructing the passage from the bedroom to the living room. This meant we had to watch every step we took so that we would not bump into something, especially at night when it was dark. A palm plant, in a gigantic pot, was too big for the space and was too heavy to move; the fronds hit us in our face each time we got in and out of bed.
The furniture was cheap, poorly made and hardly 'luxurious'. One couch was covered in dog hair. The bed, with only a thin mattress, was impossible to sleep on.
The apartment was advertised as containing a washer and dryer, something important to us, and one of the reasons we choose to rent it. There was no instruction manual for the machine in the kitchen that the representative told us was a washer and dryer. We tried to use the machine and it damaged some of our clothes by locking them in - we could not stop the machine - and it 'baked' our clothing for over four hours.
There was no broom or vacuum to clean the floor. When we communicated this to the owner he said to look in the cupboard, but it was locked. The owner did not make any effort to unlock the cupboard or to provide a broom.
The bath towels were old, thin and frayed, just like rags. The pillows did not have enough firmness in them to support one's head and neck when trying to sleep.
I do not recommend this apartment.
Great place to stay. Right at the heart of the shopping district and very close to Marienplatz. Host is very responsive and friendly. Would definitely stay there again.
Perfect location. Very clean and full of light place. Highly recommended.
