Our home is right above the apartment. We are early-to-bed and early-to-rise people, and ask that guests refrain from loud talking, music, etc, after 10 pm. Washer and dryer can be used during the day, but last load should be finished by 8:30pm. If you are staying more than a week, we ask that you be responsible for removing your own trash. (There is no garbage service, but the dump and recycling center are less than 5 miles away.) Check with us before inviting guests to visit--parking is limited. No smoking. No animals. (Ours know they are not allowed in the apartment.)
Very good location if you visit west coast in Big Island. Wonderful place to stay with a nice sunset view - indeed, our best airbnb experience in hawaii.
The appartment was very well equiped. Nothing was missing.
Priscilla and Rob were so kind, very welcoming. They left us many fresh fruits (most from their garden). Mahalo!
A true family stay! Pasha and Rob turned out to be such tactful, affectionate and comfy people, we could hardly believe we stayed as airbnb guests. This is not business for them- they really enjoy having guests. They went out of their way to make us feel at home - in their cozy Hawaiian home with fantastic atmosphere. The location is great, let alone a perfect view of the ocean.
If the house is available for your dates - do not hesitate but book immediately - highly recommend!
Mahalo Pasha and Rob!
Priscilla and Rob we welcoming, warm and helpful. The apartment was such a delight with a great view and lovely gardens. Fresh fruit and a avocado tree were fun! The neighborhood was quiet and restful. definitely would stay again!
We enjoyed our stay at Priscilla's house very much. Priscilla and her husband were helpful but respectful of our privacy. The apartment was very comfortable and pleasant. The kitchen had the supplies we needed cook some simple dishes so that worked out well. The view to the west was beautiful. We would definitely consider returning next time we visit the big island.
We were made to feel totally at home and our hosts were warm and extremely accommodating. The apartment was perfect for us to explore the local area and especially the wonderful beaches and historical landmarks such as the petroglyphs.
Priscilla and Rob were fantastic and gracious hosts. My friend Lucy and I had a wonderful trip and the accommodation was great, not cramped at all for two girls traveling together. The apartment is charming, cozy and clean; the kitchen had all the equipment we needed to cook dinners and pack lunches for the beach. Our hosts were 110% committed to ensuring we had a great visit and shared not only their fruit, eggs and avocados but also fun facts about the local wildlife and plants! Would definitely recommend to a friend and stay again!
Priscilla and Bob were very warm and welcoming. We were greeted by a bowl of tropical fruit, and the next day Bob showed us how he picked avocados and shared a pomelo with us. They were friendly and informative, but also very respectful of our privacy, as I was working from home for a couple days. It's a downstairs unit, so you do hear footsteps from time to time, but it's not very disruptive. The parking spot was a bit awkward because it was on the side of the highway and hard to see backing out. Internet connection was awesome. I would totally stay there again.
I am a recently retired teacher. For nearly 30 years, I taught foreign languages to middle school students. My husband Rob is a retired gardener. We have two grown daughters and three grandchildren. Unfortunately they live on the mainland. I enjoy traveling, especially to places where I can practice my French or Russian. Rob and I both enjoy plants, animals and books.
