Hôtes très sympathiques et a l écoute. Appartement spacieux et propre. Grandes chambres.
Thank you, Isabelle, for making access easy for us. I was worried about the logistics of getting a collection of travelers from Canada and the U.S., eight of us, to one rallying point smoothly. It worked. Also, the townhouse was close enough to Manhattan that we did not have to pay scary taxi fees to get to our wedding and back, so the place saved us a lot of money. It was nice to just sneak around the corner in the morning and get a bunch of those Baker's Dozen bagels too - the best bagels most of us had ever eaten. We found the chance to all stay together and chat and act like family very rewarding. The single bathroom did not turn out to be that big a deal. We just had to cooperate.
This was an excellent apartment for our family of five with children ranging from ages 5 - 19. The neighborhood had all of the basics needed and offered good opportunties to walk to some interesting parts of Brooklyn. Greenpoint has a lot of Polish ties which added a little spice to the area. Taxis were easy to get ahold of and our preferred method of transport to Manhattan, even if the subway was close by.
Isabelle was very welcoming, running through the basics around the apartment (it is NY standard so don't expect any luxury), but quickly left us alone to unpack and unwind. An added plus was also that we could leave our luggage in the apartment on departure day while the cleaning woman was there.
With the bedrooms upstairs and living room/dining room/kitchen on the bottom floor, this worked really well for us given the different sleeping patterns of our family.
If you're looking for a good "base camp" for your NY trip, we can definitely recommend this apartment and Isabelle.
Great host, no problems whatsoever before or during stay!
This apartment was amazing. Awesome greenpoint location a block away from Peter Pan, the best coffee, donuts and bagels in Brooklyn, as well as everything else you would need is right around there. There wasnt one thing i felt was missing from this apartment. The beds were very nice as well as the rooms. There is a backyard, no access to it, but it is pretty and at any given time there are about 5 cats sunbathing so best view in Brooklyn. Met one of the hosts, J, and he was very nice and asked if there was anything we needed and of course there wasn't. Would stay here again in a heartbeat, highly recommended this apartment!!!
Stayed in touch with me thought out the whole time, before and after stay, did me a huge favor by receiving flowers shipped for our wedding that was taking place in their area. Greeted us cheerfully at the door and even carried luggage up-stairs for us!:)
