Thanks for a great venue to see San Francisco. The apartment was spacious and in a great neighbourhood close to the Marina.
There was some initial confusion with our booking, where we were told parking would be included and it wasn't, but Stephanie was very open and helped us come to a resolution we were happy with.
The apartment was in a great location, walking distance to many shops and just a block away from a park with a giant pond where ducks and turtles live (which thrilled our 4 year old).
The home is very well managed - it was immaculately clean with labels everywhere. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could possibly need. Stephanie was in constant contact with us, ensuring we had everything we needed, and she was a real pleasure to work with. She even left a lovely surprise for us in the kitchen on our arrival!
I did notice a reasonable amount of noise from the upstairs neighbor (loud music, slamming doors etc), which was disappointing as the house rules stated we should be as quiet as possible so I assumed the neighbors would do likewise. The noise wasn't too troublesome though and overall we had a wonderful experience. Thank you to Paul for making his home available to us.
Thank you for the kind words. I'm so sorry about the door slamming. The slamming of the doors actually came from the garage door entrance on the side of building. You can hear them shut all the way up to the top unit. We are in the middle of construction and there are 2 doors to go through for the long term tenant to get to his unit and one more door to enter the garage and laundry room. They are very old doors that are in the process of being replaced, but for now one has to pull the door hard for it to close, making it sound like they are being slammed. So sorry for the noise, but will be resolved soon.
I was there on Sunday till 7pm... Could you hear my dog walking around? I will remind the long term tenants about the music leave and to be respectful of all the tenants. Thank you!
I did leave a pen with the book Guest Journal. I guess housekeeping took it. That is such a huge disappointment. I will make sure that detail will always be available for my guests... ugh!
Awe the wine was for you... you could of taken it home with you.
I really enjoyed your energy and even though we never bumped into one another. Your communication skills said it all. Thank you for being so easy to host. I'm so glad you got to stay at Paul's flat. Over all it was a pleasant experience to be your host. You made my job easy.
You are welcome back anytime. I would like to offer you a 15% discounts off on your next booking with us.
Hope to be your host again,
We had a wonderful experience.Everything was as described, and included a complimentary bottle of wine.
The Marina is a great location,so close to the seafront, very quiet and safe.Public transport is very accessible from here.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this very spacious and clean apartment.
Lovely well presented apartment in nice neighbourhood close to the Golden Gate Bridge.
Both Paul and Stephanie could not have been more helpful, all our queries were dealt with promptly.
We really appreciated staying in your appartment. It was much larger than we expected. It was very clean and equipped with comfortable beds. When in SF next time we are happy to return. We very much appreciated the kitchen style very much kept original. The feeling from when opening the front door was a warm welcome.
Paul and Stephanie responded very quickly to our questions and queries, making our introduction to San Fran easy. The apartment is huge and a great place to return to after very busy days of what San Fran has to offer. Lots to welcome you - beautiful linen, coffee and wine and a fab location. Nice restaurants 4 blocks away and beautiful places to walk along the marina. 5 days was not enough!!!
We visited San Francisco for 10 days in August 2015 and stayed at this apartment throughout our visit. This is a fantastic apartment which had all that we needed, and more. It is really well-equipped and very comfortable. It has comfortable beds, 2 nice en-suites, and plenty of wardrobe space.
Paul's assistant, Stephanie, was always available to help us with any query that we had; even the silly ones, like how to turn on the TV! Because of problems with our flight from the UK we didn't arrive at the apartment until 3am in the morning and Stephanie kindly went around and switched on some lights for us so that we weren't left groping around in the dark when we did arrive.
It is in a ideal spot, about 200 yards from the waters of the Bay, where you have a great view of the Bay, the Golden Gate Bridge, the City Centre and Alcatraz. It is also close to public transport. The number 30 trolleybus stops on the corner of the road, providing a great link to the City Centre, Chinatown and the Fisherman's Wharf area. It's also within walking distance of the Bridge and Crissy Fields Beach, as well as the Wharf area.
We will definitely stay here again if (when) we come back to visit the fabulous City of San Francisco.
