Must have a great time!
Nora's apartment was wonderful. Perfect for a place to crash while we were in Chicago. There was plenty of room for the 5 of us that stayed. Plenty of pillows and blankets and even fans we used at night (gotta have a fan to sleep). We had no problems with communication or with our stay at all. The neighborhood was as expected, not fantastic but we never felt unsafe. If we ever need an Airbnb in Chicago again we wouldn't hesitate staying there again.
The apartment was even more spacious than we anticipated, which was great! There was plenty of room for all 8 of us to sleep comfortably. It was the perfect crash pad for our weekend in Chicago, and Nora was diligent about checking in to make sure we had everything we needed!
If you're wondering about kitchen stuff: there was a coffeemaker, rice maker, plenty of frying pans, utensils, etc in the kitchen. We couldn't find a cake pan - there was a cookie sheet - but we didn't look to carefully!
The only downside we had is that the downstairs neighbors would play quite loud music at odd times (once at 4:30 am). It wasn't audible in most of the apartment, but it was in the largest bedroom.
Just what we needed, simple accommodations near UIC. Easy to get ahold of vai the AirBNB website. Thanks!
We liked that appartement, it had everything we needed for our short trip to chicago. Unfortunately we didn't meet Nora and Gonzalo personally, but almost all questions got answered immediately. Parking close to the place was no problem. The neighborhood was not like we expected, to be honest, we did not feel very comfortable around that area...sorry.
It was quit loud at night on the weekend, so don't forget to bring earplugs.
Anyhow, thank you for everything.
Chicago was the best city that I had been, and Nora's house was perfect for me and other 7 friends, we had a lot of fun in our nights. Everything works well in the house and it was enough for us, you can go for everywhere in the city using train and bus around the place, the best place if you want have fun and not spend too much.
The apartment was a very good place to stay in, everthing was clean and the bedrooms were comfortable. During winter, it can get a little bit cold at nights but there were enough blankets to use.
The area was ok, but at nights we felt a little bit unsafe at the Green Line train station nearby; fortunately we had no bad experiences.
This was my first time on Airbnb and I could say that Nora and Gonzalo were great hosts, we had no problems at all.
