In Spanish "La Vista" means the view and that is what this apartment and property have. Whether you are sitting on your front deck having your morning coffee, or relaxing in the pool, you will always have great views. Relax at the end of the day and enjoy a fresh tropical drink at the rancho, as you celebrate the end of another fantastic day in paradise and watch a gorgeous red sun melt into the Pacific Ocean.
Marta was great! Watched her feed the monkeys in the yard! Very clean apartment, cleaning service daily with fresh towels also! Kitchen well equipped!
I stayed in this apartment with my siblings and a friend in August 2015. Our hosts were not home when we arrived and there was a guy there that welcomed us and showed us around. After the hosts did arrive we had a few questions as what to do in the area and they told us to refer back to a folder of activities to do that was left on the kitchen counter. The place was very clean and looked like the pic and the highlight of the place was the view of the marina and the swimming pool. Aside from that there isn't a whole lot to do in the area unless you take a bus over to the Manuel Antonio area where they have the national park and a beach nearby. Not sure if we caught our hosts on a bad day but they didn't want to have much to do with us. We almost felt like we were imposing on their space whenever we would get in the pool as its right next to the bar area where they sat and ate their dinner everyday with little to no conversation.
-Good location (if you want to get away from the tourist crowd)
-Nice view and short walk down to the marina
-Very clean place
-Kitchen is equipped with pots and pans (not much else so if you're planning on cooking make sure to buy things like oil, salt, sugar, spices, etc.)
-Fridge in bar area where its stocked with beverages for a charge (we had a few beers and they were nice enough to knock off a little bit off the price before checkout)
-AC in every room
-Its on a very steep hill so make sure to wear good walking shoes as most taxis don't want to drive up the hill
-The hot water in the shower stopped working on our second day there (brought it up to our host and made no effort to go and check)
-The AC in one of our bedrooms stopped working on the same night that the hot water went out
-As we were checking out they offered to call a cab for us and it never showed up so we ended up having to walk down the steep hill with our luggage down to the bus station which was a 20 min walk
We had a pleasant stay here. Martha & Douglas were a great host and helped us understanding surroundings a bit. The rooms were in shape and the balcony in front was great with a ocean view. The only disadvantage here would be the approach road to the accommodation which is very steep and you really need to be a good driver to be spot on.
Martha's place was a little bit hard to find, but once there really nice! A lot of animals to see and everything was organised very well!!! Lovely stay!
Great Place! Marta was very helpful upon arrival. Downtown jaco is just down the hill. Definitely recommend.
A relaxing stay. Marta was very accommodating and understanding when we realized we missed the check out time! We were able to quickly pack up and leave and we had a great time there. The views are wonderful and the pool is very quiet and cool.

About the Host, Marta And Douglas
I have a very outgoing personality and love to dance, cook and laugh. I enjoy meeting and helping people. I love to travel throughout my country and other countries as well. My husband Douglas and I have been married for 25 years and have two daughters, Bianca 23 and Sandy 18. Both girls attend the university in San Jose. Both Douglas and I were born and raised in Quepos and we think that with all of the lovely areas in Costa Rica, that the Quepos/Manuel Antonio are is the most beautiful.
I like to dance and cook as well. Although I am not as outgoing as my wife, I do enjoy meeting other people. I have worked for the national electric company "ICE for 27 years as a maintenance supervisor. I like to travel and enjoy seeing other areas of our beautiful country. We slowly built on our property over the years and enjoy sharing it with others. Now with the pool and rancho completed I think we are finally finished.
