About this listing
This is a very nice room in a charming flat in central Oslo. The flat is in a very quiet street, 3 min to the center and Aker Brygge.
Lots of restaurants, shops and museums in the vicinity. Everything in walking distance and only a few minutes walk to trains, buses, boats etc.
Free wireless Internet.
I'm known to be a great host and cook so if you do not want to eat out we can talk about that. If you want to cook yourself you may of course use the kitchen.
A simple breakfast is included in the price.
I speak fluent English and German.
The bed can be pulled out and made into a double bed.
There is only one bathroom so we have to share that.
Bedlinen and towels are of course included.
Smoking allowed but please not in the guest room.
Please be aware that there is smoking in the flat.
If you like to have a glass of wine or beer in the evening I strongly recommend you to do some shopping in the Tax Free Shop when you arrive in Oslo. The prices here in Norway are just outrageous. Also if you are a smoker be sure to buy some as the price of one pack amounts to € 11-12.
If you are not a smoker I would really appreciate it if you could buy a stick of cigarettes for me (Prince white) and I will of course pay for that -
Vielen Dank! :)
Ellen was very accommodating. The room is cute, but a bit cramped for two. The location was excellent and made the tight quarters well worth it.
Ellen has a beautifully decorated flat in a very convenient neighborhood in Oslo. She was very helpful and welcoming, making sure that I had everything I needed. She actually prepared breakfast for me! Simple, but very good.
Exceptional in every hospitable way, Ellen was kind enough to suggest a few places and sights to visit. The place is very conveniently located next to the city core, close to the pier. Even more, if you plan on renting a bike, there is a parking station right outside her apartment building! Would pick the same spot in a heart beat!
I was only in Oslo for a day and happy I stayed with Ellen because her flat is so centrally located to all the cool things surrounding the docks. She always offered to get me things or offer breakfast which was nice of her even though I spent all day outside the flat. It was a good place to stay.
About the Host, Ellen
I'm a norwegian but left the country in the 1973 and lived in Munich for more than 30 years. I've been back in Norway for some years now. I love to travel and meet new people so I thought this could be a good (website hidden) and interior decorating are some of my hobbies. And I love to have guests!
