This is a very nice room in a charming flat in central Oslo. The flat is in a very quiet street, 3 min to the center and Aker Brygge.
Lots of restaurants, shops and museums in the vicinity. Everything in walking distance and only a few minutes walk to trains, buses, boats etc.
Free wireless Internet.
I'm known to be a great host and cook so if you do not want to eat out we can talk about that. If you want to cook yourself you may of course use the kitchen.
A simple breakfast is included in the price.
I speak fluent English and German.
The bed can be pulled out and made into a double bed.
There is only one bathroom so we have to share that.
Bedlinen and towels are of course included.
Smoking allowed but please not in the guest room.
Please be aware that there is smoking in the flat.
If you like to have a glass of wine or beer in the evening I strongly recommend you to do some shopping in the Tax Free Shop when you arrive in Oslo. The prices here in Norway are just outrageous. Also if you are a smoker be sure to buy some as the price of one pack amounts to € 11-12.
If you are not a smoker I would really appreciate it if you could buy a stick of cigarettes for me (Prince white) and I will of course pay for that -
I really enjoyed my time at Ellen's place. The moment I got into the apartment she made me feel like I was at home. For instance she let drink whatever I wanted in the fridge and she let me eat bread in the morning. We even worked it out where she cooked two meals for me and it was good. The apartment itself is really nice. The bed was comfortable and I had everything I needed. Ellen herself is a great person to talk to. It was fun hearing about Norway and about her life as well. I would stay here again if I revisit Oslo.
I truly enjoyed my stay with Ellen. I don't think I will have enough space to write everything I want to say. Ellen has such a warm spirit and made me feel right at home. Honestly, I have to say that this will be my home in Oslo (I hope that's okay Ellen). Everything was clean and the location was PERFECT. It is in the center of everything! Ellen is a smoker but that didn't bother me much. I just brought a air plug in for my room and I was good to go! If you stay in Oslo make sure you see if can make a stay at Ellen's place. The place is just as warm as Ellen's spirit!!
The reservation was canceled 3 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Ellen is hands down one of the most generous, welcoming hosts. I stayed with her during my 10 day trip to Norway. She baked the best fresh bread, had breakfast and coffee in the morning and we even cooked together a couple nights. She drove me and my friend on a tour through some of the Oslo sites and gave us directions when we needed them. She is not just a host - but now my friend. I can't say enough great things about my stay at Ellen's flat. It is in a central location (just a 3 minute walk from National Theater metro station where you can also catch the Flytoget to and from the airport, and also very close to Karl Johans Gate and Akers Brygge - harbor shops and restaurants). I miss her already (and what felt like my home away from home)!
This is a lovely apartment - tasteful, very comfortable. It is in the centre of Oslo, close to everything and just a few minutes' walk from the station where the airport train stops. Ellen was a very helpful hostess. I would recommend this b and b to anyone.
I'm a norwegian but left the country in the 1973 and lived in Munich for more than 30 years. I've been back in Norway for some years now. I love to travel and meet new people so I thought this could be a good (website hidden) and interior decorating are some of my hobbies. And I love to have guests!
