The space

Our one bedroom apartment is located on the first floor of an 1850s era mansard on Elm Street. A quiet residential neighborhood, present day Elm Street formed the boundary for the Battle of Bunker Hill. The apartment, a 15 minute ride from the airport, is convenient to all of the area's attractions including the Freedom Trail, Bunker Hill Monument and Museum, Charles River bike/ jogging path, Science Museum and the USS Constitution. We are walking distance from the Boston Garden, home of the Celtics and Bruins.

Charlestown is a vibrant neighborhood with a great Whole Foods Supermarket (including an Espresso bar, fresh juice and smoothie bar, in-store pizza oven and bakery, burrito and sandwich bar, and candy by the pound). Several very good restaurants in the neighborhood include Legal Oysteria, Pier 6, the Navy Yard Bistro and Tangierino. The Brewer's Fork and Blackmoor are popular craft beer restaurants. Casual and family fare are available at the Warren Tavern, the 99, Figs, Sweet Basil and Blackmoor. Breakfast and brunch can be had at The Grasshopper Cafe around the corner. Coffee and pastries are available at Zume's Cafe and Sorelle's Bakery.

Note that there is great night life in Boston but please reserve any partying for outside the apartment.

Note that there is a non-smoking property.

Fantastic place to stay. Great location although for light sleepers you may need ear plugs. Very clean and homely. Would definitely recommend.

Great place to stay in Boston! Easy check in and out. There were not other guests staying here the day we arrived, so we were able to get into the apartment early. Perfect location, clean and comfortable!

My wife and I stayed for three nights and the weather was ghastly cold throughout. Fortunately the central heating was working well and there were lots of hot water. The beddings were clean and smelled great. Kitchen was adequately stocked with mugs and plates. Lots of wipes and tissues in the bathroom. We enjoyed the apartment and would recommend it without reservation. Thanks Marie!

The apartment is located in central place of Boston. My family spent 5 days and we really enjoyed our staying. It was cozy and comfortable as it looks like. I hope I can stay at that apartment again in near future.

Gerard And Marie User ProfileGerard And Marie is a superhost.

Marie and I have travelled and lived in many areas including London, Dublin, Sydney, Melbourne, New York, Amsterdam, New Orleans, Wyoming and Marthas Vineyard. We now are Air BnB hosts for our homes in Boston and Jackson, New Hampshire. We choose to live in New England because the area has so much to offer. Charlestown, with its rich history, harbor side location and easy access to the city, is a quiet neighborhood of beautiful homes and one of the most attractive parts of Boston. Jackson, NH is a classic New England village that is accessed through a covered bridge with views of Mount Washington and opportunities for biking, hiking, downhill ski-ing at Wildcat, Black Mountain and Attitash and the best cross country skiing in the region.
Great for viewing the Fall foliage.
