Soothing Room in BK with Terrace

Apartment - Private room · Greene Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11221, United States

The Space

Greetings to one and all from the Nation!

I have a furnished medium room in my chill-lax apartment in the cultural center of Brooklyn, Bed-Stuy. People often note the cuzziness and cleanliness of the place. The room comes with a full sized bed, a desk, and a closet.

The other rooms of the apartment are usually occupied by tourists and students. The neighborhood is great; it is where Bedstuy meets Bushwick, and full of artists and places to listen to live music. There are tons of restaurants nearby, but the immediate area is quiet and family friendly.

This area is really picking up, is perfectly safe, is 15 minutes away from Williamsburg and 30 minutes from Times Square. There are several buses and trains nearby.

You are:

Low-key, quiet, respectful
Clean or respectful of shared space.
Looking to do something in any one of Brooklyn's cool neighborhoods.

  • We stayed there for 20 days so our view is maybe a little bit different.
The room is okay, the terrace is awesome, there is no real kitchen. Only two hot plates but it is possible to cook your own food.
    The bathroom is okay,too.
The only thing which could increase is the cleanliness.
The position of the apartment is awesome. 10 minutes walk to the metro which takes you to Manhatten within 20 minutes. There is a laundry and a grocery store in front of the house.

Ron is a nice host. If there is a problem he tries to solve it immediately.

All in all we had a nice stay and we would recommend this place.

  • great location, close to subway, little corner store close by. But there was no one really looking after the place. and the bathroom was very dirty at times. in saying that though overall its good value for money for nyc.

  • everything was fine and uncomplicated!! we stayed at Kings place for 1 month and never had any problems.. all our flatmates were kind.
we cooked almost every day, also without a real kitchen
the connection to Manhatten and BK Williamsburg with the J train is perfect and the neighbourhood was fine!!

  • Stopped in this apartment of 10 days. Chose because of the low price and proximity of Manhattan, 5 stops of the subway. To the subway of 5-7 minutes on foot, there are a lot of shops. Absolutely black area, but very safe, even in the evening. In the apartment it was pleasant - an exit to a roof, directly from the room where we sunbathed. Well the Internet worked. The room appeared much less than on a photo, but all necessary was. On arrival the owner swept (for $20, paid for cleaning). Then it was necessary to wash in the room because there is a lot of a dust. Also dirt in in a toilet and in kitchen wasn't pleasant. Several times cleaned and washed, took out garbage. In total in the apartment of 4 rooms where residents constantly changed. But it was quite quiet and silent.
Also there are no conditioners, in the summer there very much will be very much hot as the last floor heats up.
All of us spent time in Manhattan, sights looked, we not choosy, but won't stop Any more in this apartment because of dirt. This apartment doesn't have a cosiness and purity.

  • Everything was easy and fine, except the cleanness. It was okay for us because we haven't spend that much time at the flat.
The neighbourhood is nice and safe and there are good connections to Manhattan and other places in Brooklyn.
All in all we had a good time in NYC.

  • We were disappointed about the apartment because when we arrived it was very dirty (especially the bathroom). When we asked for cleaning stuff we got all we needed for cleaning the rooms by ourselves but there was no vacuum cleaner and the mop was broken...
Also the kitchen is quite useless, because there is no water, no sink and no dishes (except disposable plates and cutlery etc.). Although it is cheap we wouldn't recommend the place to anyone.

  • Great location in Brooklyn, NYC! Save neighborhood, fast access to Subway, grocery and $5 pizza ^^. Comparatively great price for such a room! We really enjoyed our stay! =)

  • We stayed in King's apartment for nearly a whole month. The apartment is centrally located only 5 blocks to the Subway. The apartment is an old yellowstone with a whole flat divided into 4 rooms with tennants. The house was OK for the price. It has WI-FI connection. OK shared bathroom. There is no kitchen area only a microwave and a heater but King lets you use his own kitchen which is downstairs. There is no washing machine but there is a close by Laundry center.

The room has a nice price for the location although you must not expect a very clean flat. You have to be careful about the bugs and must not leave your food outside.

The neighboorhood is nice with a friendly Bodega (Deli-Market) at the corner. The house is near Broadway Brooklyn which has a lot of different eating options. Commuting to Manhattan is quite fast (30 minutes from the house to Midtown)The owner responds to your every question and he is easily accesible.

This room is perfect if you are searching for a central apartment, low price and safety.
