Response from Ulrike, André & Kaela:

I hope you WILL visit again! We'd make sure you have good driving directions to Tet Paul and share some island treasures with you that you may not be able to find on-line (yet)

  • La Bourne

La Borne, as it is spelled by St Lucians, is the birthplace of the Secret Band: Caribbean drums and compas, sung in Kwéyòl
    La Bourne Dauphin
  • Plateau

Some of the most spectacular views on the island are seen at Plateau: Caribbean and Atlantic coasts at a single glance.
    Plateau Dauphin
  • Lapis Island

Correct spelling is actually Lapin (rabbit) Island: off-shore home to many sea birds. These and may other coastal, water and land birds can be seen from Esperance Mangroves on the mainland.
  • Dauphin

Off-the beaten track hikes, bird-watching hotspot, and archaeological sites in Esperance Protected Landscape and Dauphin Bay, which lies within the proposed Iyanola National Park.

A farmers market on Saturdays offers fresh tropical and (some) organic produce for your kitchen. You can also enjoy cafés, bars, restaurants and shops in the unique atmosphere of a marina setting.
    Rodney Bay Marina Gros Islet
  • Reduit Beach

The most popular beach on St Lucia: varied watersports offers, beach chairs parasols, bars, restaurants - the works - but obviously it is quite touristy. Ask us if you prefer a quieter beach.
    Gros Islet
  • Kite Surf

Great place for kite- and wind-surfing. A wilder beach than found on the Caribbean side. Best with own transport.
  • Gros Islet Police Station

This is where you obtain your local drivers permit if you rent a car. Station has moved to the corner of Castries - Gros Islet Hwy with Cas en Bas Rd, i.e. not as shown on Google map.
    Gros Islet
  • Grand Anse Beach

Turtle-watching can be arrange during nesting season. A remote, large and entirely untamed Atlantic beach (not safe for bathing).
  • Vigie Beach

A surprisingly picturesque and quiet Caribbean beach, frequented mostly by local families. Ample shade trees, economic local kiosk food, and easily reached by public transport.
  • Pigeon Island National Landmark

Historic monuments in beautiful park with great views; 2 small beaches (with facilities) do not to get too crowded. Picnic spots, Geocache, Snuba, SeaTrek. Main venue of St Lucia Jazz Festival.
    Gros Islet
  • Castries Waterworks Forest Reserve

Visit Rain Forest Sky Rides: canopy tram, zip-lining and trail. Pick up can be arranged.
  • Forestierre

Two rainforest hiking trail start at the Forestierre Range Office: a short didactic trail and the ca 3 hour hike to Barre de lIsle ridge. We happily make arrangement with the Forestry Dept.
  • Millet

A fascinating mountain village with the John Compton Dam and a rainforest hiking trail. We happily assist with arrangement with the Forestry Department.
    Millet Anse-La-Raye
  • Quilesse Forest Reserve

Spot our national bird, the endemic Saint Lucia parrot (Amazona versicolor), on the Quillesse Reserves trail. You can even traverse the interior of the island and reach Edmond Forest Reserve.
  • Tet Paul Nature Trail

The best view you can possibly get of Petit Piton without being a rock climber! Easy, guided walk for all levels of fitness and ambitions.
  • Gros Piton

Climb the iconic Piton - a moderately strenuous (ca 4 hours round trip) hike. Afterwards relax in the hot springs and enjoy a waterfall massage.
  • Maria Islands Nature Reserve

Maria Major harbours unique wildlife, especially endemic reptiles and sea birds. Because of its vulnerability, visits must be arranged through the St Lucia National Trust; we will happily assist.
