Rodrigo, his wife and also his little kids were really gracious and very helpful during our stay in Santa Teresa. The Domehouse exceed all our expectations with it's lovely interior and the extraordinary construction. It was also very clean an also cleaned up every day by their housekeepers. We had everything we need for the days of our vacation and even when we were not in the mood for cooking we also can recommend their restaurant next door with it's excellent food and really nice staffs! The time we've had in Santa Teresa was awesome and they made it a little more unforgettable. So if we ever come back to Costa Rica especially to Santa Teresa we would absolutely stay her again.
We really enjoyed staying at Rodrigo's place. Rodrigo was prompt to respond to any questions prior to our arrival in Costa Rica and his advice was helpful when it came to arranging transportation, etc. The Domes are also super cozy and as nice as they look in the pictures and location is also pretty much ideal. The drinks at ALMA (the on-site restaurant) were just amazing as was the food. Overall great stay - however can get a but noisy at night depending on restaurant/bar traffic, but it usually calms down before bedtime.
The Dome House was a fun experience! Location and neighborhood are great. Many restaurants (including Rodrigo's own restaurant) are only minutes away. There's also a supermarket and a great French bakery just down the road. Playa Santa Teresa is only a 5 min walk away.
Rodrigo and his family have been wonderful hosts and very helpful whenever we had questions or needed help with anything.
Our hosts, Rodrigo and Francesca (sp?), we're great. They assisted us when we needed it, made sure our stay was comfortable and respected our privacy. The Howler monkeys are fun to watch from the covered porch. The dome houses are beautiful inside. One comment: although the dome has air conditioning, it does not cool the upper bedroom, so bring a fan. All said, I would return again. A very short walk to the beach takes you to a breath-taking, beautiful escape from reality; soft sand, Palm trees for Shade and surfers on the great waves.

The domes were very cool, with great access to the beach. It was very impressive to hear how they were designed. Rodrigo and his wife were very sweet and hospitable. The grounds were lush and serene. The restaurant Alma that they own was the best food in town and very convenient to walk out your door and get dinner. The area is a definite beach local spot and if you're into surfing you would love Santa Teresa.
We had a great stay in our dome! The house was beautiful and perfect for 2/4 people, we wished we had brought some friends! It was equipped with everything we needed and even had a lovely housekeeper to replace towels and tidy the place every day.
Alma itself is expertly located, literally across the street to the main beach entrance (playa Santa Teresa) and away from the dust of the main road. Rodrigo and his family who live on the front of the property and run the restaurant were incredibly helpful. Sadly, I showed up with a case of food poising from Tamarindo, and Rodrigo was so kind in letting us know how to navigate finding some medication and a doctor. He even made me some absolutely AMAZING chicken soup.
All in all, despite sickness, our stay was fantastic. My boyfriend was able to borrow a surfboard from Rodrigo and I was able to get some much needed shuteye on the beach. The only regret we have is not being able to eat at the restaurant at Alma, it's beautiful and everyone raved about it, but sadly my stomach only called for Carr's crackers and yogurt.
We'll definitely be back!
