la maison dôme est très originale et idéalement placée. Rodrigo et sa femme nous ont très bien accueilli ils ont un restaurant et un bar dans le même jardin ce qui fait de l'animation.
The Dome House was a fun experience! Location and neighborhood are great. Many restaurants (including Rodrigo's own restaurant) are only minutes away. There's also a supermarket and a great French bakery just down the road. Playa Santa Teresa is only a 5 min walk away.
Rodrigo and his family have been wonderful hosts and very helpful whenever we had questions or needed help with anything.
Our hosts, Rodrigo and Francesca (sp?), we're great. They assisted us when we needed it, made sure our stay was comfortable and respected our privacy. The Howler monkeys are fun to watch from the covered porch. The dome houses are beautiful inside. One comment: although the dome has air conditioning, it does not cool the upper bedroom, so bring a fan. All said, I would return again. A very short walk to the beach takes you to a breath-taking, beautiful escape from reality; soft sand, Palm trees for Shade and surfers on the great waves.

The domes were very cool, with great access to the beach. It was very impressive to hear how they were designed. Rodrigo and his wife were very sweet and hospitable. The grounds were lush and serene. The restaurant Alma that they own was the best food in town and very convenient to walk out your door and get dinner. The area is a definite beach local spot and if you're into surfing you would love Santa Teresa.
We had a great stay in our dome! The house was beautiful and perfect for 2/4 people, we wished we had brought some friends! It was equipped with everything we needed and even had a lovely housekeeper to replace towels and tidy the place every day.
Alma itself is expertly located, literally across the street to the main beach entrance (playa Santa Teresa) and away from the dust of the main road. Rodrigo and his family who live on the front of the property and run the restaurant were incredibly helpful. Sadly, I showed up with a case of food poising from Tamarindo, and Rodrigo was so kind in letting us know how to navigate finding some medication and a doctor. He even made me some absolutely AMAZING chicken soup.
All in all, despite sickness, our stay was fantastic. My boyfriend was able to borrow a surfboard from Rodrigo and I was able to get some much needed shuteye on the beach. The only regret we have is not being able to eat at the restaurant at Alma, it's beautiful and everyone raved about it, but sadly my stomach only called for Carr's crackers and yogurt.
We'll definitely be back!
We had a great stay at Rodrigo's Dome house. Their property is located off the main road so its not dusty and you can't hear the traffic. The owners are extremely friendly and their restaurant (alma) is delicious! We ate there 4 times during our stay. Playa Santa Teresa is about a 5 minute walk away and so is the closest grocery store/surf shops/bakery/..etc... We rented a quad for our stay which was very helpful to get to other surf spots and other parts of Santa Teresa/playa Carmen/mal pais which is pretty spread out. It is a beautiful property which has been planted well with local palms/banana trees etc. I would not hesitate to stay there again.
We loved our stay at the Dome.
The location was great, the atmosphere was very relaxed and the Dome itself was clean spacious and very beautiful..
Rodrigo and his family were very warm and accommodating.
We mainly cooked meals during our stay, but we did eat in their Japanese restaurant one night which was delicious!
