Room in beautiful Victorian house

House - Private room · Ocklynge Ave, Eastbourne, BN21 2QD, United Kingdom

The Space

I have a lovely room in our beautiful Victorian house in a quiet area close to Eastbourne town centre (15 minute walk) and beach (30 minute walk) where you can stroll along the promenade in this Victorian town. The promenade takes you to the Holywell cafe where you can enjoy the best cheese scones ever. Then walk along the beach under the cliffs when the tide is out and experience some wonderful landscapes. If you take the coast road West you can stop at the Kiosk Cafe and continue onto the stunning South Downs now recognised as a National Park.
Eastbourne is situated between Brighton and the historic town of Hastings, both are approximately 20 minutes by train and Eastbourne also has a direct train service to London every 30 minutes. The journey takes 1hr 24mins.

We have a large front and back garden with a lovely terrace looking out onto the Garden. There are two lounges one for music and one for the television . The bathroom has both bath and power shower.
The kitchen is large with an open plan dining room.

  • We had a great stay with Christina, her family and their husky dogs. Christina was easy to contact and we enjoyed meeting her and her family. The house was beautiful and very warm during a stormy weekend. There was good wifi in the house and free parking on the street. We would definitely stay with Christina again when heading to Eastbourne in the future.

  • I had a warm and friendly welcome into Christina's home.
I was welcome to use the kitchen and we chatted while we both cooked our own meals.
The dogs and cats were a delight.

  • The room was very clean and cosy and the house itself is beautiful and spacious. I enjoyed listening to the seagulls in the morning when I woke up. Christina was helpful with questions that I had about Eastbourne and the whole family was relaxed and friendly. I had a very comfortable stay for 2 nights. Would definitely recommend it and stay again.

  • I had a good time at Christina's home. She and her family are all very nice and helpful, and they have two very friendly dogs and cats.
They had some good ideas where to go and what to do in and around Eastbourne, and I enjoyed sitting and watching TV together or going for a walk with the dogs.
The house is wonderful, clean and well-furnished.

About
I am a certified life coach and a producer. I enjoy having a chat with people, love a good dance, a glass of wine and grilled chicken salad. I like to keep fit and healthy with exercise and walking my huskies along the beach under the cliffs in Eastbourne when the tide is out - it's like another world! I am blessed with the most amazing children Jacques, 23 and Mia, 17. I have a house I rent out in the summer months as a whole or by the room, which is close to the sea. I also have a couple of rooms to rent in my own home, either to foreign language students or Airbnb guests. I have been a guest to other Airbnb hosts when travelling alone for a course or work.
