Warm welcome at Arlettes (despite the fact that we arrived two hours earlier than we had announced.) The room was nice and had the best location ever in a wonderful neigbourhood. Great place to stay with kids who are fond of pets.
Rien a dire, parfait!
Arlette is a wonderful host. Her apartment is clean and neat and in a great location, opposite Central Park. Another bonus--it's around the block from a convenient subway stop. Arlette had great suggestions about how to make the best use of the neighborhood and I had a marvelous visit that ended all too soon! Laura B.
The listing was exactly as described and the host for very thoughtful and easy to converse with. She is quick to respond to questions and provides lots of great ideas.
We unfortunately only stayed with Arlette for two nights but would have loved to stay for longer. She was very welcoming, friendly and informative about the local surroundings and attractions. We also enjoyed spending time with her pets, a small dog and cat. The accommodation was in a great location and was relaxing to be overlooking Central Park.
Vive New York !!!!!
But you certainly had better than that later on on my invitation. And you are right I was expecting you to know about the kitchen. And my guests do appreciate my "topo" which helps a great deal to discover New York. I am sorry I spend time and effort doing it while you were thirsty, but sitting.

About the Host, Arlette
I have lived 40 years on and off in the Big Apple (from the French Alps and Paris). I love New York! I will help you love it too. I wear a smile and I have the New York energy and rhythm in me. I am blessed to live across from Central Park, where I start and finish the day, walking with my dog and see the seasons change, sometimes my guests join me on hidden path and great views.
I am forever curious. I love to see new places and traveled twice around the world.
I paint, do yoga, friends, jazz clubs and opera, I bicycle. I have a small cabin in the woods Upstate 2 hours North of NYC where I escape the roaring city sometimes and breath in the mountains.
Now I understand well your thirst for discovery. I enjoy receiving people, sharing stories, I communicate easily and keep a sense of humor.
See you soon.
