Description

The Space

Private good size bedroom with it's own private bathroom both with a view, in a is very large 2 bedrooms 2 bathrooms sunny, corner apartment. All of the 7 main windows look out on the Park.
The bedroom which you will be renting, is spacious and sunny with a comfortable full sized bed, there is a dresser, side tables, a large closet, a desk, mirrors, and a big armchair that unfolds into a comfortable single bed for a 3rd person
PRIVATE BATHROOM with a shower, sink and toilet with a window
WIFI- AC. A small refrigerator- kettle tea and coffee
Fresh linen and sets of towels for each guest

- There is a huge round living room and dining area with 3 windows, now with a piano!
- A big kitchen with a breakfast area but No cooking allowed sorry Please read the house rules.

I have a small friendly well behaved dog (dachshund/greyhound) who enjoys running in the Park as much as I do.

Nested in a peaceful civilized neighborhood: The Upper West Side, Across from Central Park. The apartment is in an ELEVATOR prewar, gorgeous building, Conveniently located 1 minute from the subway B and C on Central Park West and 103rd street and a 5 minutes walk to the 1 on Broadway
A quick ride to the bustle of Times Square, even quicker to Lincoln Center. Or you can easily walk 20 minutes across the Park to the museums on the East Side.
Fantastic bars, restaurants, bakeries and great Jazz places, Columbia University, Saint John the Divine Cathedral are very close. A bit further in a longer walk is the Museum of Natural History.

I will help you discover the Great Upper West Side and many off the beaten track or popular spots of New York my favorite City in the whole world and make it a joyful experience!

I will direct you to my home from any airport or train or bus station the fastest and the most economical! It is also printed on your booking confirmation.
Call me after customs from the Airport or bus or train station.
I will remit keys upon arrival so you can go in and out as you please.

Interaction with Guests

I am here for you anytime. I provide a cell phone during your stay to use only in NYC and within the US It is not a smart phone but very useful for guests from abroad. Upon arrival I'll show you how to get around with a subway map locating the places of interests (many of them!) and the places to eat and shop! There is a printed list of the guide to my guests with all the details. I will remit a set of keys.

The Neighborhood

Central Park is across the street and you can enjoy its view from all the windows, in any season you come it is wonderful. Go run in the morning or rent a bike on a nice day(not in the heavy snow) or join me for a stroll in the morning with my dog on "great hill" or around the pond at sunset.
Fantastic bars, restaurants, bakeries and great Jazz places, Columbia University, Saint John the Divine Cathedral are very close. A bit further in a longer walk is the Museum of Natural History.

Getting Around

Conveniently located 1 minute from the subway B and C on Central Park West and 103rd street and a 5 minutes walk to the 1 on Broadway

Other Things to Note

Please let me know by contacting me before or upon booking at what TIME you arrive in New York and a bit about you. Check in is flexible however landing from abroad at JFK or Newark should be before 6.30PM so you can arrive no later than 9.30 or 10PM at my place. Early arrival can be discussed. Check out is 12 noon, however, you can leave your suitcases in the entrance corridor in the apt. till 4PM after you check out of the room before noon. Arrangements should be made as soon as you know.

House Rules

No shoes in the house . Limited use of the kitchen See above. Keep your bedroom shut so my friendly dog "Charlot" does not go in(:
The kitchen use is only for breakfast sitting at the table, facing the Park and I will wash your dishes. no cooking sorry. You can use my kitchen fridge or the small fridge in the room, to store some ready food breakfast stuff and drinks. You also have an electric kettle and cups, sugar and some tea bags, instant coffee in the bedroom. There are many restaurants, delis and cheap breakfast places in the neighborhood. I will point them out at your arrival along with a lot of tips and advice about New York
If you must (: eat in the bedroom please take your garbage out immediately. (it is on the same floor) No food garbage in the room. (recycling is fine to stay in room)
