Lovely private house with an amazing pool (saves you from the afternoon heat)Fantastic food at the Cayote cafe. Jenny provided outstanding service and was very attentive to our needs. We brought our kids ages 1.5 and 3. We wouldn't recommend toddlers at this location, but older children are fine. The house supplies life vests, a nice unexpected bonus. Overall a very good experience. We highly recommend this stay.

Excellent location for privacy and many kinds of wildlife right out the back door. Beautiful plantings in the yard and a refreshing pool to cool off in makes this place well worth it!

This place was more than we expected! Everything about it was wonderful..from the beautiful house, the convenient location (right between Montezuma and Santa Teresa) and the generous help of Jenny next door. We could not have asked for a better place to stay during our time in Costa Rica. The location is just perfect, however, it is most helpful to have some sort of transportation in order to wonder between the towns at your own convenience (we rented a quad—highly recommend). Don’t miss out on the luxury of the guest house, watching all the different animals pass through the garden and the trees! Also, would recommend brining enough cash incase the ATM in Montezuma is out of service (it was out the whole week, but Santa Teresa has a few if you can make it there). Would recommend this trip to anyone looking for a great experience in Costa Rica. Thank you Erik and Jette for letting us stay in your wonderful home! We are very grateful and hope to return sometime soon!

Our stay at Jette's place was super quiet and tranquil. Cabuya is very quiet and we slowly discovered it's charm while there. Nights were awesome...Moonlit swims and days lounging in hammocks....Wildlife...Howler monkies and birds and two nightly visits from an armidillo that came out from. Under the deck were awesome!! Our boys loved in the pool. Car....We did not have one here but quickly realized we needed one. Driving is 15 mins to Montezuma and 20 to Santa Teresa . The house was super clean and bright and we loved it. Fruit trees...We had our own star fruits and limes from outside trees that we enjoyed as well as Lemon Grass for flavouring our chicken and fresh fish we bought from a local vendor. (URL HIDDEN) not shop at first little convenient store..Owners a re Chinese and first rude people I met in Costa Rica...Pender tried to charge us 2400 Colones for two mangoes! Go to the next grocery store for basics...We drove to Cabano for main supplies which was 30 mins away. Jenny was awesome, she made us great food at her cafe, her Casado plate was the best we had in Costa Rica. She arranged our car rental and answered any questions we had, she was amazing. Try Nimbu around the corner as well...Best fish n chips we ever had. The bakery that sells coffee and chocolate cake was awesome for cake and Casado. There is even a great sushi restaurant located near Cabo Blanco entrance we loved. Cabuya grows on you the longer you are there. Do not miss the Cabo Blanco hike our 7 year olds did it...Barely! :) Do not miss the biggest tree in Costa Rica on your drive to Montezuma. Cemetery island was cool for a few hours :) great tide pools two hours before low tide. Jette's place is awesome!!!
