About This Listing
Hello, for the moment I get a lot of requests, more than I can take, so please understand if I decline without leaving an expanation.
I live in a new flat with a spare room with single bed that I rent for short terms.
The flat is in a multicultural neighbourhood very close to the centre and with extremely good connections with public transport. In a 20 min walk you are on the Grand Place and all the touristic areas. The Gare du Midi, where all the international trains stop is just 8 min walking or 2 min by metro. The metro is on my street, you can not get closer (line 2-6), tram 81 and bus 46 are very close, citybikes are around the corner etc.
The view on the street you get on this profile is very old. Don't worry, there is no construction site and it shows the wrong side of my street).
You will have all the comfort you need: wifi, shared bathroom (with washing machine), shared kitchen, towels/bedlinnen. It's a clean and calm flat. The price is per person. The room has an extra mattress for a second person, but that gives you less comfort.
As I have to share the flat with you, I'd like to know a little more about you before I decide to rent. So please mail me. I speak Dutch, French and English. I like to meet new people and if I have the time I will help you discover Brussels. I'm 34 and I've lived here almost all my life.
Look forward hosting you!
The reservation was canceled 5 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Chambre confortable et bien située : le métro à côté permet d'être au cœur de Bruxelles en 10 minutes. De quoi profiter pleinement de son séjour. Ce qui fut mon cas. A renouveler donc. Merci à Mieke...
next to the metro station, 5 min from the Midi Train Station. good choice for those who need to catch the train at Midi Station
Mieke is a fantastic host and the apartment is clean and comfortable. The metro station is less than a minute walk, just in front of the apartment. I would highly recommend!
Mieke was a lovely host and her apartment is clean and orderly. We had a nice stay with her and she even treated us to some wonderful Easter Belgium chocolates and a yummy beer. We would recommend staying here.
Mieke kindly waited for me at the apartment at midday, so that I could drop my luggage off before heading out for the afternoon to explore the city.
The apartment was nice, comfortable and clean, and very quiet at night, so I was able to sleep well.
The weather was very cold, and Mieke ensured I was warm enough by supplementing the heating in my room with a portable heater.
The apartment is located very conveniently just five minutes' walk from the Gare du Midi, where the Eurostar arrives and where there are trains for other Flemish places such as Bruges and Ghent. There is also a metro station just opposite the apartment, and bus stops at both ends of the road.
I found the area a bit rough and was glad that I didn't stay out late at night.
On the whole, I enjoyed my stay at Mieke's apartment and would stay there again.
About the Host, Mieke
Hi travellers. I'm sorry but my flat in Brussels is not available, it's rented fulltime since I moved to Bologna in September 2013.
About me: I'm 36 and a freelance editor, working from home.
What I like? Sugarfree biscuits, folding bikes, reading 3 different newspapers at the same time, running in the snow (eeeh sun), writing long e-mails full of nonsense, discussing Brussels politics, playing the piano in the middle of the night (wish I could ;-)) spoiling my friends with yummie food, and trekking and travelling.. of course.
