Thanks to our location, you will be able to see the real locals of the beach, from birds like limpets to howler monkeys, so you can enjoy the beauty of nature without having to leave home.
The space
Casa Ikigai, is a beautiful beach house, fully equipped, with a private pool, surrounded by nature, it is the perfect place to spend a wonderful vacation.
Playa Avellanas has a unique beauty, from trails in the middle of mangroves, to charming restaurants in its surroundings, white sand, and sunsets that you will never forget.
You will be able to enjoy a wide variety of outdoor activities (surfing classes, canopy, trips and quad bike tours, horseback riding, boat trips where you will discover incredible beaches and islands, among others…).
Thanks to the great location that we enjoy, you can make short trips by car that will take you to areas where you can discover new beaches, volcanoes, rafting through the magical rivers of Costa Rica, visit hot springs and even meet giraffes in one of the largest fauna reserves in the country.

Casa Ikigai is located in a gated community, so you will have neighbors, but each property is separated and well delimited by natural fences, this is one of the great advantages of this accommodation, its great privacy, where only guests can enter and enjoy between family and friends but the privacy and exclusivity of this beautiful place is not everything, it also has all the necessary security so that you can rest easy and enjoy your well-deserved vacations to the fullest.
Other things to note
For stays longer than one week, a cleaning service will be provided two to three times a week, which will have an extra charge of $16 per day.
In case it is more convenient for our guests, we can change the queen bed for two single beds for the secondary room (this must be requested one month in advance)!

Please do not take the speaker out of the house.
It is important to emphasize that Belinda and Rolando are a married couple who live on the property, and they help us with the maintenance and cleaning, so, if you see them near the house or doing maintenance, do not be alarmed, it is part of their work and they are very nice and honest people.
Rolando arrives in the mornings to clean the pool, collect leaves, turn on the lights in the afternoons and turn off the lights in the pool at night. and that sort of thing.
Belinda, for stays longer than 1 week, will come once or twice to help you with a small cleaning.
In addition to this, we want to clarify that the sheets are made of microfiber. Airb&b doesn’t give the option to select microfiber, so we chose cotton instead.
Every Friday or Saturday, the guys will arrive in charge of putting chemicals and vacuuming the pool. They arrive in the course of the morning or afternoon.
All these services are free of charge for our guests.

We, too, will always be attentive to what you need.
For stays of less than one week, the laundry service will cost $15 per wash and dry. For stays of more than one week, one wash and dry will be included with the stay; additional washes per week will cost $15 each.
