Located on a beautiful tree lined street in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn this lovely 2 bedroom apartment offers privacy and comfort all while being close to the excitement of New York City!
Apartment has washer, dryer and dishwasher, wireless internet, central ac/heat and 100s of vinyl records for you to listen to. Located on the 4th floor of a beautiful brownstone, the apartment also has it's own private roof deck with gorgeous views of Manhattan.
The apartment is in a great location, right on the border of Brooklyn Heights and Cobble Hill. It is close to DUMBO and the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges, and is a stone's throw from the new Brooklyn Bridge Park, and a 5-10 minute walk from 2,3,4,5,F,G,A,C and R subways-- so you can quickly get to any neighborhood in Manhattan or Brooklyn.
The Governor's Island Ferry leaves from the dock that is just 2 blocks from our house. The other ferries and water taxis to Manhattan leave from the dock in DUMBO which is a 20 minute walk away. The East River Ferry can even take you up to Williamsburg in 5 minutes flat.
We are right on the border of Brooklyn Heights/Cobble Hill, and both neighborhoods are equally gorgeous and charming. Both historic neighborhoods, they are filled with brownstones, tree lined streets, little parks, cobble stone streets tucked in unexpected places, even water access. Lots of movies are filmed on our area blocks, and its no surprise why-- the area is lovely.
The Brooklyn Heights Promenade and its gorgeous views of Manhattan are a short 7 minute walk away. We are also close to the Red Hook, Carroll Gardens, Boerum Hill and DUMBO neighborhoods.
SHOPPING (GROCERIES TOO):
One of our favorite things about this neighborhood is the shopping. There's an Urban Outfitters and a Barney's CoOp 2 blocks up Atlantic Ave, and Smith Street, Court Street and Montague Streets have lots of small boutiques, antique stores and specialty shops.
If you like to cook, there are amazing butchers and cheese shops and bakeries and middle eastern shops that sell in bulk-- even one of the city's few Trader Joe's is just a few blocks up on Atlantic. If cooking is your thing, you could definitely have a great time doing so here. We also have a fully stocked kitchen that you are welcome to use to create your meals.
On Saturdays, the outdoor Brooklyn Flea in Fort Greene is a 30 minute walk away, faster by bus. Prospect Park and all of Park Slope's shops and brownstones are a 30 minute walk. There are farmer's markets here in our neighborhood on both Saturday (Borough Hall) and Sunday (Cobble Hill Park).
There are GREAT cafes, coffee shops and brunch spots in a 2 block radius that make for a delicious local (and authentic) Brooklyn breakfast.
Smith Street is known as Brooklyn's Restaurant Row and boasts all kinds of dining from casual to fancy, local to international cuisine. The area has many great places to eat, and we have lots of favorite spots. We are happy to provide a list of our top choices/recommendations if you are interested.

We absolutely loved Sophia's apartment! It was just as advertised and with even more accommodations than I had expected. The place was clean, the kitchen was well equipped, we had tons of space and the central air was perfect for the hot nights in late June. We hope to stay there again for an annual trip to Cobble Hill.
We stayed here for two months with our baby daughter and I´d book it again in a heartbeat. This is a stunning apartment! It is spacious, with a huge bedroom, a large bathroom, and a big kitchen/living room area, complete with hundreds of great records. The standard is high - and the roof top is overwhelming, it´s private, inviting, with unparallelled views of lower Manhattan. The area is perfect - quiet residential streets with classic brownstones and lush trees, with busy commercial streets nearby, with small boutiques, antique and independent shops. You´ll find the best restaurants and cafés in the neighborhood, the waterfront is right down the street with its park, and it´s a short walk to Brooklyn Heights Promenade and the Brooklyn Bridge. Commute to Manhattan is super easy. I cannot recommend this apartment highly enough. There were a few snags during our stay, but the hosts responded and helped us out as best they could. Rest assured you´ll have the best stay here!
Sophia's apartment is truly perfect. We found it spacious as promised, clean quiet and very pleasant.
We definitely enjoyed our stay..
First time and last time air BnB user! Owner completely unhelpful and obstinate about having been clear with instructions when they were not. Finally checked my mother and sister in to find an apartment sparsely and super cheaply furnished (300/night!) and a note advising them to not be alarmed when a plumber would randomly stop by to "fix something" during their stay. The note also invited them to help themselves to anything in the fridge. Upon opening it, the disgusting state of the filthy refrigerator was enough to force me to profusely apologize to my Mom and sister for my poor judgement in choice of accomodations. Icing on the cake is after checkout, we were accused of somehow stinking the joint up (with diapers?, huh?) and apparently, wantonly moving furniture around. Avoid at all costs!
