We got the apartment (myself and work colleague both around 45) at very late notice, 2 days before, as we were last-minute attending the huge tradefair Mobile World Congress (approx 80000 people most not from barcleona) and hotel rooms, even miles away, and 3* were running at 300-400 pounds. Thus this was a good solution and the rate was high but on par for the course of others properties. I wouldnt say it was cheap for the week but probably about the best we could get. The plus side was the location was perfect for for us, wasnt in the tourist part but 5 minutes from Ramblas and 2 mintes from Bourne which i think is nicer anyway. 2 minutes from metro and 2 minutes from nearest parking. Apartment good size, definitly not modern which is what we like but in general condition could of been a bit better re bathroom etc, lights in staircase. The main negative are that in Feb the apartment was pretty cold even though outside was OK - too cold - no double glazing or proper heating - i cant rember anywhere i had to use blankets before. Not a problem in summer but in winter i wouldnt stay there again.. Other issue is on 1st floor so lots of late and morning noise especially as no double glazing again. On other hand these type of old house have no lift so an upper floor = more stairs. Key quesiton is...would i recommend? -for people who like old style, great location, and if it not winter i would stay again. For winter or someone who likes perfect, modern and lifts or is allergic to noise..then no
Perfect location, beautiful balconies, and nice hosts.
