We offer a variety of Organic Foods & vegetables at our Cafe:
Kahumana Organic Farm & Cafe is open Tuesday thru Saturday for lunch from 11:30a - 2:30p and dinner from 6:30p - 8:00p.
Wery nice and relaxed place to stay. A bit far away from the airport, but no breblem if you have a car. Staff was wery friendly and made frieds with the some of the wwoofers too.
The retreat center is very clean. Rooms and beds in the retreat house in which I stayed had been recently updated. The shared bathrooms were older, but they were very clean as well. The breakfasts were nourishing and delicious. I stayed from a Saturday night through a Tuesday morning. The store was not open then, nor were lunch and dinner available on those days, so I cannot comment on those. Nick, the maintenance person, was extremely friendly, as was the woman who prepared the breakfasts. I did not meet Shauntel.
Waianae is about 50 minutes from Honolulu without traffic, and it took me nearly an hour and a half to get to the Honolulu airport for an early Tuesday morning flight. This traffic apparently is normal during rush hour. Consider this as you make your plans around the island.
I think the price of the room was extremely reasonable, and I can recommend this location for people traveling on a budget and who have a rental car and to those without a rental car who want primarily to explore the Waianae coast area. If you are going to spend more of your time in Honolulu or the north and east sides of the island, you may be better off staying in Honolulu or another smaller city.
