Tiny house on 1.5 acres in Coconino National Forest. Featured in American Eagle Outfitters worldwide campaign. Dog friendly. Epic stargazing. 10min to historic downtown/ Route 66. 15min to Walnut Canyon, Sunset Crater, Wupatki National Parks, NAU, AZ Snowbowl. 45min to Meteor Crater and Sedona. 90min to GRAND CANYON, Lake Powell, Horseshoe Bend, Antelope Canyon, and Petrified Forest. 2.5hrs to Monument Valley. The space
The property borders Coconino National Forest on two sides. The 1940's era studio cabin is RUSTIC and SMALL at 360 square feet but very open and functional with incredible views of the forest and the mountains from all rooms and 2 decks. Experience tiny house micro living. We have been restoring our tiny cabin using only recycled sustainable building materials and plant based coatings. The property is a great mix of a peaceful rural area with great vistas but 10 minutes from the excitement of a vibrant mountain town and is one of the highest in the country at 7,000 feet in elevation. The summers are warm but not hot like the central Arizona desert. Be prepared for warm summer days (average high is 78 degrees) and chilly nights (average low is 42 degrees)

Guest access
Exclusive use of the studio cabin with full kitchen and dinette, bath, front deck, back patio, and 1.5 acres of natural meadow shared with our other cabin. 1 full/double size bed and 2 double high self inflating single airbeds. Outside - 4 person traditional Finnish barrel wet/dry sauna, 3 mountain bikes, BBQ grill, horseshoes pitch, and stairway access through the National Forest boundary on both north and south sides of the property. Lanterns, star binoculars, cooler, firewood, condiments and spices are stocked. Help yourself to anything in the refrigerator and freezer.

Other things to note
No telephone, no air conditioning, no cable/satellite TV and no Internet. The cabin does have cellular and 4G data reception, 27' HDTV, Blu-ray DVD Player, FM/bluetooth stereo radio alarm clock, telescope, board games, books, and local travel guides.

We use a professional cleaning service to prepare the cabin prior to your arrival implementing CDC enhanced cleaning and disinfection protocols. We are committed to Airbnb’s Living Wage Pledge and a portion of your homestay fee helps support Flagstaff Family Food Center, Food Bank and Kitchen as well as the Open Homes program.

I am originally from Chicago but have lived in the Arcadia neighborhood since college. We enjoy an active lifestyle of hiking, biking, and snowshoeing the trails behind the cabin as well as snowboarding and cross country skiing at nearby Snowbowl Resort. Most of our free time over the last couple of years though have been taken up on our renovation of the a-frame and tiny cabin using sustainable building practices. Materials were zero VOC plant based non toxic coatings that we manufacture and salvaged locally sourced Ponderosa Pine, recycled doors, windows, furniture, and fixtures. All three of us (including the dog) have allergies so we try to keep the cabin as dust and allergen free as possible. It's rewarding to help bring families and friends together from all over the world to enjoy the wonders of Flagstaff and to share the living experience in our cabin. A portion of your homestay fee helps support both Flagstaff Family Food Center, Food Bank and Kitchen as well as Airbnb OpenHomes disaster relief. We are committed to Airbnb’s Living Wage Pledge.
