The Space

We welcome you to stay at our clean, luxuriously and fully furnished apartment located in the Chaoyang District, which is close to Wu Dao Ying hutong, Lama Temple and the National Stadium a.k.a "Bird's Nest" built for the Beijing Olympics.

The apartment itself is located in an exclusive and peaceful community with 24 hours security. In the neighborhood, you can find many supermarkets, gym, shopping and commercial centers all around including the UME Cinema and the five stars Sheraton Hotel. There are three nearby subway stations all in short 10-minute walking distance:

- He Ping Xi QIao or Hui Xin Xi Jie (SUBWAY 5)
- An Zhen Men (SUBWAY 10)
- HuiXinXiJieNanKou interchange (SUBWAY 10)

From here, you can reach San Li Tun (famous bar streets and brand-name stores) in 15 minutes (by bus), to the Summer Palace in 20 minutes (by train), to Forbidden city/Tian An Men square in 20 minutes (by bus/train), to Houhai & Nan Luo Gu Xiang Hutong in 10mins (by bus).

As you can see from the photos, the apartment itself is comfortably and neatly decorated. We have high speed wireless internet, "air-condition" and heating, hot water for shower, washer, etc. and you are free to enjoy state-of-the-art sound system in our living room and use the modern kitchen.

I speak decent English and the place is a very peaceful and yet convenient location and many guests give us a 5 star to its cleanliness.

  • Isabel was such a kind and gracious host. She showed us maps, places to go, and things to do. The neighborhood is charming, and it always felt like coming home. I highly recommend it as a place to stay!

  • Isabel (email hidden) and we spend four days with her and her husband, she has a home of three bedrooms and also can sleep in the living room. They are all cozy and tidy.
Her house is really wonderful and beautiful. However, I'd like to wear slippers if possible :)

  • Isabel (email hidden), however we hardly saw her in the house. There was no provision for breakfast, even though she has mentioned in the site. There was no drinking water available. There were common toilets which were quite unclean and no tissue paper was maintained on the last day. Though she guided us for the Great Wall, the route that she told us was not convenient. Her house is quite far from the sub way station.

Will not recommend this place to others.

    Response from Isabel:

You are such a liar. We pick up your husband from subway station before you arrived. We stated clearly that NO BREAKFAST PROVIDED in our website. For drinking water, we boiled it, our other guest boil it but you two lazy bum stole the only water jar and hide it in your room. This is HOME STAY AND NOT HOTEL. you want water boil it yourself. We provide one big roll of toilet paper to you and you only stay for TWO DAYS.
We have cleaner come every Tuesday to clean to who house. And before every new guest arrive we also clean the whole house. But for the rest of the day, it is up to the guest to maintain the cleanliness of the place. So if you said that the toilet is dirty, it must be YOU DIRTY IT AND EXPECT US TO CLEAN FOR YOU? YOU ARE NOT FIT FOR HOMESTAY BECAUSE YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT FOR A HOME STAY - YOU ARE PART OF THE FAMILY AND PART OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITY IS TO MAINTAIN THE PLACE CLEANLINES. That we specified it very clearly in our HOUSE RULE, AND YOU NEVER FOLLOW IT.
For all our guest, we send out our location map in both Chinese/English. We have printed copy of detail information for all guests include where to go how to go there for all places of interest. We never ever got anyone complaint like two of you, so obviously the problem is YOU. BECAUSE YOU EXPECT IT LIKE A HOTEL.. SO I URGE ALL HOST IN THE WORLD. DON'T TAKE IN THE TWO WHO DO NOT KNOW WHAT IS THE MEANING OF HOME STAY.

  • Isabel's apartment is fantastic, and so is Isabel! This was our first time in Beijing and Isabel helped us straightaway to find the best spots for shopping, eating out etc! The apartment is very quiet, light-filled and well set up. It is in a very clean complex with good security (the area feels very safe anyway, so security doesn't feel necessary but still good to know it's there). The room looks out onto the communal garden which has a large pond with fish, waterfall etc. It's so quiet you can't believe you're in the middle of a huge city and only a 3min walk to the peripheral road (with many buses, taxis etc). The apartment is close to 2 subway stations (about 10mins from each), so very easy to travel around Beijing from there. A two minute walk out of the apartment will give you a choice of over 10 or 15 (maybe more?!) eateries/restaurants, plus tons of great street vendors, a supermarket etc. The room itself is large, with a true king-size bed, and was cool even in beginning June. The whole apartment has a lovely feel, like a home away from home! Isabel and Louis are fantastic hosts and will make you feel very welcome. Great coffee machine too :) Highly recommended and we will be staying again when we next come to Beijing!

  • Isabel has been the best host possible and made me feel home. She gave me tips about the city and the area and helped me to buy train tickets. The place is clean and the room is big. Strongly recommended

  • Isabel’s place was the first time for me to experience Airbnb and I have to say it went beyond my expectations. The place was just as described on the profile. During my stay I felt safe, comfortable and welcomed. These were things very important to me as I was traveling by myself. Being my first time in Beijing, I followed Isabel’s easy and clear instructions from the airport to the exit of the subway station where her and her husband Luis came to pick me up. The apartment is impeccably clean and nicely decorated with lots of plants and nice furniture. My bed was very comfortable and clean as well (I sleep better on a firm mattress). Initially I stayed at one of the 2 large bedrooms and on my return I stayed in the shared room in the living room both clean and comfortable. For the private rooms a key is given to the room in addition to main key door. Isabel made it easy to coordinate a trip to the great wall with the other two great people who were staying at her apartment in the other rooms. I made friends with them and we ventured to the wall and other places. It was an unforgettable experience. I spent a total of 5 days with Isabel and Luis and the interaction with them was great. We went to dinner a couple of times. Luis has very interesting conversation. I asked about life in Beijing and he asked about life in the U.S. Isabel shared information about places and culture in China. Another plus to this place is that is only 10 minutes walking distance from the easiest to get around subway I have ever encountered. Numbered and color coded the subway stations and lines were a breeze to make it in less than half an hour to the most interesting places in Beijing. Around the well kept neighborhood you will find a park banks, grocery stores, and many restaurants. All in all I just regret not having stayed there longer. I definitely recommend Isabel’s place to any one traveling to Beijing.

  • Isabel was a kind hostess. She greeted me warmly, was proactive about answering questions I had, and helped me plan things to do in Beijing (she also had an extensive guide of recommendations). The apartment itself is conveniently, centrally located. The room was a clean and pleasant, as well as surprisingly spacious. Highly recommended!

  • I stayed in Isa'a place for 7days. Before I visited there, I was in 4 star grade hotel in Beijing. But Isa's home is much much much and much better then there. Everything is so clean, neat and tidy + warm and cozy + and it feels like my another home in China. Don't hesitate and just make a call to lovely Isabel :)
