I only accept bookings for a minimum of one month, usually from the first to the end of the month. I give preference to bookings for the 4-month academic term in the fall and winter. Your reservation cannot go a few days into the next month after your final full month, as that cuts off the majority of prospective guests who require accommodation from the 1st of the month. I do consider six-week stays in the summer. For a multi-month stay, you can arrive a few days into the month and depart a few days before the end of the final month if that fits your schedule.

The house has 3 bedrooms, each with their own bathroom. I use one bedroom, and the two other bedrooms are available to guests.

This spacious room is on the second floor and spans 15 ft. (5 m) across the front of the house. It includes a modern retro-style ensuite bathroom (tiled shower, sink, toilet).

With its half-wall slanted ceiling at each end, its two bright windows, hardwood floor, and interesting poster art, this attractive room has charm and comfort, and features a queen-sized bed, loveseat, dresser, open closet & storage area, and work/study area.

Great value for quality, comfort, and location. Singles only. All guests must be proficient in English and must have substantial experience living and cooking independently in the West. Sorry, no undergrads or further discounts to listed price.

If you are between apartments, I'm sorry but you cannot store your household possessions and boxes of stuff either in the room or the basement. Please come only with what you need - clothes and your devices. I provide everything else.

I have a no-overnight guest policy. You are welcome to invite a friend over for socializing occasionally. But to respect the privacy and safety of myself and the other guest in the house and to avoid Covid risk, you cannot bring a boyfriend/girlfriend or local friends into the house on a frequent or regular basis.

My rooms are very popular and usually booked well in advance year round.

"The Glebe" is one of Ottawa's most popular trendy neighbourhoods. It is one neighbourhood out from the central core and is surrounded by the curve of the Rideau Canal. It has old brick houses and big trees with lots of different architecture, old and new. Our "main street" is an eight block section of Bank Street - Ottawa's main retail road that bisects the city and ends at Parliament Hill. On Bank Street ( a few minutes from my house) you will find many great restaurants, pubs and cafes, as well as unique small shops that attract people from all over the city. There are three grocery stores. The big Lansdowne complex has the sports stadium, a Whole Foods, retail shopping, the weekend Farmer's Market, many eateries with outdoor patios, a big park, and a Cineplex. It's very lively, especially when there is a game or event on. The Glebe is also adjacent to Dow's Lake (3 blocks from my house) where the Tulip Festival and Winterlude are held. You can walk to the Italian district, and a little further on, our excellent little Chinatown.
