Fantastic little cafe's and street life. Wonderful market, Frida and Trotsky around the corner. Its safe and quiet.. Not super trendy like Roma and Condesa but beautiful with its own parks and places to wonder.

My husband and I had a delightful 5 night stay at Trish's studio. She was gracious and accommodating. The studio is well situated in the wonderful community of Coyoacán and it is outfitted well. It, and the outside spaces, are bright and cheery. We enjoyed our stay very much.
great host. cute space. excellent location. very happy with the experience!
What a delight! This was a beautiful spot in a charming location. You can easily walk to all of the best parts of the neighborhood. I enjoyed every bit, especially the bath-tub and the roof-top patio.
Unfortunately we didn’t meet Trisha, as she wasn’t in Mexico when we arrived, but she made arrangements for us to be met by a staff member, Isabel, who was charming & helpful. Trisha kindly agreed to us dropping our luggage at the apartment before check-in time, which was really helpful to us.
The apartment is decorated in a simple stylish manner - the use of colour is just beautiful - exactly as shown in the photos. The only thing we didn’t realize from the photos was that the apartment is on the second floor, accessed by an external spiral staircase (not a problem for us, but may be something to consider if you have big luggage or mobility problems). We found the apartment was clean & quiet; the bed was very comfortable & the water pressure in the shower was great. Loved the way the bathroom was decorated! We didn’t really cook, but it was very handy to have the kitchen facilities available to prepare food. The terraces outside were an added bonus - hummingbirds visited the potted citrus trees that were in flower.
Coyoacán is a lovely historical peaceful area of Mexico City & the locals were amazingly friendly & helpful to us as we bumbled around not speaking any Spanish! The apartment is around the corner from Frida Khalo’s Casa Azul & is only a couple of blocks from the market & main squares at the centre of Coyoacán & the Museo Nacional de las Culturas Populares. We found there were plenty of taxis to take us to the centre of Mexico City & the airport.
We loved staying here & would recommend the apartment for its comfort, peacefulness & convenience, & will definitely check out its availability when we return to Mexico City.
Trisha's apartment was positively wonderful. Right in the center of Coyoacán, it allows for easy access to an abundance of shops, markets and restaurants. The biggest plus is that it's literally right around the corner from La Casa Azul. Trisha went out of her way to assure our brief stay was enjoyed to the max. She not only informed us of a handful of her local favorites, but connected us with her personal driver for a day trip outside of the city, prior to arrival. My only regret is not being able to stay longer than 48 hours!
I had a great time staying in this fabulous apartment right in the heart of lovely, peaceful Coyoacan. Trish is an interesting, creative person and a great host, very obliging and ready to provide information. It was great knowing she was there across the patio. The apartment feels spacious and fresh, is very light and airy, is beautifully and simply decorated, and has everything you could need. There is a rooftop terrace virtually overlooking Frida Kahlo's house/ museum, which is directly behind the apartment. I spent a few days just hanging out in Coyoacan as it is a beautiful, interesting and creative neighbourhood with a great atmosphere, a number of museums (Frida, Trotsky museums both extremely close to the apartment) and other points of interest, beautiful squares and parks, some interesting shops and galleries, lots of great food - restaurants, cafes, bars - and a wonderful market. I was on my own but felt quite safe walking around the local area even in the evening. It was quite easy to walk to access the metro station/s to get to Centro and other parts of Mexico City. It's a bit of a walk to the station but I didn't mind that at all, especially as it's such a great place to walk around (in fact I walked on different days to each of the three different metro stations in the area) - it's also possible to hop on a local bus to get to the metro.
As an alternative to staying right in central Mexico City, and especially if you're inspired by Frida and/or Diego and want a taste of bohemian Mexico but still with the convenience of easy access to everything else that Mexico City has to offer, this is an amazing place to stay.
The upper appartment I stayed in in Trisha's house is supercomfortable. Quiet, well equipped kitchen, good bed, nice terras to enjoy the sun. Location is very good, close to central Coyoacan and Trisha herself always makes me feel welcome and at home.
Loved staying in the upper studio in Coyoacan. My partner and I are both artists and this was a perfect location for those interested in the history of Frida Kahlo and the neighborhood she called home.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The space was full of light and charming. The best part was the small patio in the back and access to the roof space where I spent my mornings sketching and planning out the day's activities.
In terms of its location and access to other parts of the city, I wouldn't say it was super convenient. The closest Metro stop is realistically 20 minutes away, and once you reach the metro it can take some time to get to certain parts of the city like the Zocalo and Chapultepec. However, we did not have any trouble navigating and exploring the city using the recommended secure taxi and other safe transportation apps (Uber just launched in the city), which were very reasonably priced. The neighborhood was quiet and safe at night. We spent several evenings walking to the plaza where we enjoyed great cuisine (email hidden)ly atmosphere.
I would definitely consider staying here again on a future trip.
The studio in Coyoacán is very comfortable and pleasant. It's directly behind Casa Azul and very close to the Zocalo in Coyoacán. Trisha and the others who lived there were helpful and pleasant. I had a really great time staying there!
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Trisha's lovely apt.. Trisha and her staff were were very helpful and wonderful to deal with. The apartment itself is very tastefully decorated with every amenity you could possibly need. There is even a very cool roof deck with a table for four people where you can relax and enjoy a meal or just hang out. The location is also amazing, located literally on the same block as Frida Khalos's "Casa Azul", and also just minutes away from the incredible "Mercado Coyoacan" where you can find delicious food and produce for ridiculously low prices. I can't recommend staying at this great apt. enough, I'll definitely stay here the next time I visit Mexico City. Scott
