Toronto's "Cabbagetown" is know for having the largest collection of preserved Victorian homes in North America. Built in 1869 this heritage farmhouse, most recently featured in the "Tour of Homes" is a a perfect example of Toronto's past and present. Located in the heart of downtown, you are actually only blocks from Toronto's famous Eaton centre and so many other of Toronto's most recognized landmarks (CN Tower, Rogers Sports Centre, Hockey Hall of Fame, Royal Ontario Museum, AGO). With a white picket fence surrounding the front yard, the draped porch is an escape all in itself from the hustle and bustle of the big city. The backyard will be your oasis for all seasons frivolities and afternoon naps. A large sectional sofa with oversized umbrella is where you can dry off after you spend an hour relaxing in the 8 seater massage jet hot tub. A secured carport for two is also on the premises. This home has been featured in numerous home decor magazines, television shows and national publications which all celebrate it's character, style and uniqueness.
The front foyer welcomes you to the main living area made up of the den, grand living room, dining room and celebrity designed kitchen.
The "Canadiana" style den is designed for entertaining with it's 63" flat screen television (cable on demand, apple TV, Wii, DVD) and fireplace, hardwood floors and 12 foot ceilings adorned by original mouldings.
The formal living and dining room boast the most authentic and preserved features of this 1869 treasure with its original hardwood floors, 12 foot ceilings and victorian mouldings. With deep-set sofas and chairs there is no better way to spend a night admiring the eclectic collection of original Canadian art while curled up in front of the fire.
The celebrity designed kitchen is the creme de la creme for entertaining. The heated floors and flat screen T.V. are just the beginning. To be humble I would have to say that this kitchen is an chefs dream with its top of the line Thermador appliances that will cook with as much enthusiasm as you will. An 8 burner stove, industrial size fridge & freezer, warming over, microwave, built in espresso maker, wine fridge, two dishwashers and more counter space than most restaurant will allow you to bake, cook, roll and cater to your hearts content.
The three bedrooms upstairs will allow you to restore your senses after a busy day of enjoying what this city has to offer. One king and two queen beds to comfortably sleep six. The Master bedroom's en suite spa is equipped with a deep soaker tub, walk in shower and double vanities all dressed with white marble.
A fantastic house - me and my three friends called home right away. We kept walking from one room to the other to admire the beautiful charm and classy design of this old Victorian residence. It was just grand. We had our what-to-do-in-Toronto-list at hand but decided to stay home more than planned.
Sitting on the porch in the huge front garden was such a treat, with squirrels rushing through the trees. The neighbourhood is not the regular upper-class, stiff and boring area too far from the centre. It's a hood with an edge, close to everything you want to be close to. It's quiet and has a wonderful small town feel.
Our host Stephane was kind, open and responding the odd question we had right away. Besides he was fun. We were glad we got to meet him in person, albeit briefly.
An yes, it's pricy and it's worth every cent. I basically want this house.
The house turned out to be the most gorgeous we have ever been to. The design is so plain and perfect at the same time - any other home would be a compromise in comparison to this beautiful house. Useful advice: don't forget to grab earupean plug adapters!
Do not hesitate bo book this house with 3 bedroms, kitchen, living room and a gaden for ur stay in Toronto!!!!!!!

I am from Alberta but after traveling the world I've decided that Muskoka is the most stunning place on earth. I am an outdoors man yet love to entertain and live a wonderful life. I am a singer/entertainer by trade and have had the pleasure of performing in Muskoka at the decades show for most of my adult life. Now however I bounce between cities on business (Toronto, Montreal, Muskoka) and love helping others travel in the way I love most... hassle free :)
