My house that is located in the popular yet quiet area of Kerobokan, with nice natural breezes in the living room and bedrooms it is very chill and comfy. The guest bedroom has a nice powerful fan to keep the breeze constant, a twin bed, and a very thick and comfortable mattress pad for a second person. There is one bathroom with a toilet and Indonesian-style bath (to be removed and changed with a normal sink before the sublease) and a hot water outdoor shower in the enclosed "backyard" area. The outdoor shower has a bamboo wall for privacy and cool custom tile floor and some plants growing up the wall. There is parking in front for a car or several motorbikes. The house is on a very quiet and safe street, all residential and friendly. Opposite of the entrance is a lovely rice field. There are a couple warungs (shops) just a couple minutes walk for meals, drinks, snacks, and groceries. There is a nice little spa that is a 2 minute walk from the house.
This house is perfect for those staying for an extended holiday looking to either relax and/or surf some of Bali's popular spots (the house is located nearby Kuta Beach for those quick surfs and Canggu, Echo Beach for some reef breaks). It is 30 minutes to Balangan beach and 20 minutes to Serangan Island. 3V Fitness Kerobokan is just 5 minutes away on motorbike, they have a nice swimming pool, full gym, and classes that are included with monthly membership that include yoga, TRX, and other popular group fitness classes.
Located just 10 minutes via a short taxi ride or less than 10 minutes scooter ride to Seminyak or Oberoi and all the shops and restaurants. There are many places for good local and western food within 5 minutes of the house, including a traditional night market with most meals around $.50-4 US and inexpensive fruit stands.
I use Nueviz for fast and reliable internet (2mbps- fast for Bali). It is much better than the USB modems most people here are using. It is 2mb up/down, which is fast for Bali. The connection is very reliable and their customer service acts quickly in the event of a service interruption. Internet is included and unlimited for all guests.
The kitchen is stocked with a stove, 2 door fridge, microwave, hot/cold water dispenser, rice cooker, blender and anything else you might need to cook and eat. There is even a barbecue that can be used in the front yard. There is always a supply of clean drinking water, Bali Kopi (Coffee), and local tea.
The living room has a 32 inch LCD tv with a dvd player and a selection of DVD's to watch.

We were very disappointed because it didn't match our expectations at all. Somehow, we were expecting more beauty and a better service for this price. Twice we run out of water for several hours. We didn't have hot water during our 2 weeks stay. Internet broke down several times. First, we didn't have any bath towels, after 2 days they brought us 2 towels for the 4 of us and after one week asking for them they brought us another 2 towels. The A/C from the bedroom wasn't working neither. We had to kill at least 5 huge cockroaches. The wall paint was falling apart in both rooms. The kitchen cupboards stank a lot of naphtalene and all its utensilis were shabby. In the patio, we found old shoes and dirty cloths. This place needs a renovation and some nice decoration. It reminded us of "a students cheap apartment".
I didn't actually get to meet Tanner but after being quite late picking me up on the first day, his very sweet girlfriend, Niesa , took me back to the cute little house where I got to meet their pet monkey who kept me company for the week. Although there were some minor communication problems, Niesa was most helpful and I'm sure we will become good friends. She drove me around and even organized some medical attention when I needed it. She cooks a mean curry too! The little house is cute and comfy; exactly as portrayed on Airbnb. And communication with both Tanner and Niesa was easy and informative.. All my queries were answered quickly and informatively. Thanks heaps, Niesa and Tanner.
