About this listing

The best location you can get in Rome, one of the best views ever, and a beautiful little terrace. 3 ingredients that will make your stay unique.
Can sleep up to 5 people. Extremely quiet and well decorated. Be prepared to climb up to the 4th floor!

The space

The apartment is extremely bright and quiet. It has been recently restored, it has beautiful wooden ceilings and stunning views from each window. It is composed of a master bedroom with double bed, living room with sofa bed and a wooden loft with 2 single beds, dining room, from which you can enjoy a beautiful view onto S. Peter's Cupola while having breakfast or dinner or a nice glass of wine, fully equipped bathroom and kitchen, and a nice and pleasant balcony, from where you can enjoy the view on Roman's roofs and the heart of Rome.

The apartment can sleep up to 5 people. It is on a 4th floor with no elevator. Independent heating, A/C, dish washer, washing machine, hair dryer.

The apartment could not be better located. It is only 100 meters from the square of Campo dei Fiori, and only a few steps from Piazza Farnese and Piazza Navona, and also Rome's main attractions are just walking distance.

The area is famous for the large choise of restaurants, cafes and pubs, and to get lost in the small streets around the house still finding small artisans shops and fashion boutiques at the same time is just priceless!

Transportation available for all the other areas of the city. Taxi station just round the corner.

To make your stay unforgettable I can organize for your transfers from and for the airport, breakfast basket, lunch or dinner at the apartment, and if you have a special event to celebrate, just let me know and I will be happy to make arrangements for you.

All my guests have access to the entire apartment and to the pleasant balcony from where you can enjoy one of the best views ever!

Last minute host said booked location was unavailable. Suggested we use an entirely different apartment in a different location instead but did not want us to change or cancel the airbnb reservation. Then upon leaving asked us to pay in cash additional "taxes" which is likely against airbnb policy.

Response from Melissa:
Dear Stuart, maybe you forgot to mention that I offered as alterative, a luxury apartment at the spanish Steps, that was costing much more than the apartment you have booked, but I have paid the difference, instead of leaving you with no accommodation. So thanks for being grateful... Oh, I also forgot to say that when I spoke with your girlfriend over the phone, she told me was supriced, of how nice the apartment was... Regarding city taxes, it is mentioned everywhere that have to be paid in cash at the arrival. If you don't agree, you can complain to Rome's city administration. all the best!

Fantastic apartment in a great area! Be prepared to hike up a lot of stairs! The apartment is huge and very well Kept. When we arrived Melissa helped us mark some key spots to visit while in Rome. We had a hot water problem and Melissa came by that morning to fix it. Fantastic communication. I would highly recommend this apartment.

Great location, friendly hostess, well equipt. We loved the wiews over St Pietro church. Our kids loved to sleep in the loft beds. Cosy appartement, a bit dated but great value.

My wife and I absolutely loved this apartment. We have stayed in Airbnb places all over the world -- England, France, New Zealand, Spain, India, Hong Kong -- and this was one of the best, certainly the best for the price. The location is incredible, walking distance to dozens of great places to eat and tour. The apartment is clean, modern and full of light and air, with nice views over the old Rome rooftops. Some things to be aware of: It is a top-floor apartment in a building with no elevator, and the climb up can be tiring if you are not in shape. The shower is tiny. I am not a big person, but it took some thinking to figure out how to pick up the soap when I dropped it, or whether it was worth it. The kitchen, while well-equipped, is not American style can does not come with any supplies. There is no coffee maker, for example, or toaster and there are no oils, spices, condiments, coffee and tea or things like that on hand. Markets are close by, and honestly the food is so good in Rome that cooking in seemed pointless (and I love to cook). So these are not really criticisms, just things to be aware of. In fact, we followed many of Melissa's recommendations for restaurants and bakeries, and she was spot-on every time. We would absolutely stay here again if we came back to Rome!

Fabulous and very cool apartment, we felt right in the heart of the city and very relaxed staying here. The single beds in the alcove are unsuitable for children, due to the staircase and balcony, neither myself or my children wanted them to sleep there. So I did and I slept very well! This is a basic stay so don't expect anything other than towels and bedding make sure you bring everything you need. The host is easily reachable and we really enjoyed our stay.
