About this listing
The best location you can get in Rome, one of the best views ever, and a beautiful little terrace. 3 ingredients that will make your stay unique.
Can sleep up to 5 people. Extremely quiet and well decorated. Be prepared to climb up to the 4th floor!
The apartment is extremely bright and quiet. It has been recently restored, it has beautiful wooden ceilings and stunning views from each window. It is composed of a master bedroom with double bed, living room with sofa bed and a wooden loft with 2 single beds, dining room, from which you can enjoy a beautiful view onto S. Peter's Cupola while having breakfast or dinner or a nice glass of wine, fully equipped bathroom and kitchen, and a nice and pleasant balcony, from where you can enjoy the view on Roman's roofs and the heart of Rome.
The apartment can sleep up to 5 people. It is on a 4th floor with no elevator. Independent heating, A/C, dish washer, washing machine, hair dryer.
The apartment could not be better located. It is only 100 meters from the square of Campo dei Fiori, and only a few steps from Piazza Farnese and Piazza Navona, and also Rome's main attractions are just walking distance.
The area is famous for the large choise of restaurants, cafes and pubs, and to get lost in the small streets around the house still finding small artisans shops and fashion boutiques at the same time is just priceless!
Transportation available for all the other areas of the city. Taxi station just round the corner.
To make your stay unforgettable I can organize for your transfers from and for the airport, breakfast basket, lunch or dinner at the apartment, and if you have a special event to celebrate, just let me know and I will be happy to make arrangements for you.
All my guests have access to the entire apartment and to the pleasant balcony from where you can enjoy one of the best views ever!
Interaction with Guests
I usually await guests at the address of the apartment, so that I can explain everything regarding the property. I am available for advices, such as restaurants and nice place to visit, so prepare your questions and I will give you all the answers when will meet in Rome! I am always reachable by mail or by phone… so if you need to get in touch with me during your stay, or before the arrival, no worries!
I guess that this apartment is located in one of the best neighborhoods of Rome. Why? Because even if million of tourists walk on those streets everyday, you can still have an authentic feel. You can still find many small artisans shops, and the market of Campo dei Fiori still gives that authentic vibe.
On the other hand, some of the best stylish restaurants and boutiques, have chosen this area for their new openings, so it is a sort of great union between old and new!
Last but not least, the Big Beauty of some places such as Piazza Navona, the Patheon, Piazza Farnese, Via Giulia… and much more.
On the main street Corso Vittorio Emanuele, you can many buses available for all directions.
Other Things to Note
city taxes (3.50 € per day per person - except children under 10 y.o.) are not included in the price, and will have to be paid in cash at the arrival.
Check in is possible any time after 1pm.
For late arrivals there is an extra charge of Euro 30 after 9pm and Euro 50 after 10pm.
We had a marvelous time in Rome. Melissa was very helpful and arranged a ride for us from the airport and suggested lots of sights to see and places to eat. We were met by the housekeeper and had to pay a small tax which Melissa warned us about in advance. Everything about the booking went smoothly.
The apartment was extremely well located, an easy walk from all the major sites, and the price was reasonable. It was perfect for our needs in Rome. The layout was efficient and worked well for us and our two children (8 and 12) although the loft might be treacherous for smaller kids. The master bedroom was great. We loved the funky decor in the rest of the apartment, the model cars were a hit with our son. But we thought it could use a bit of tlc. The paint and furniture were a bit worn and one light switch panel was hanging out of the wall. A small investment to address these little issues would go a long way.
Overall we were very pleased, had a terrific weekend and thought the apartment was a good value for the money.
Estuvimos 4 personas. Lo recomiendo para familia con niños pequeños
Melissa was very cominicative and let us do an early check in ( it was important because we have been traveling from very far )
We got there at the same time that the cleaning person was doing her job which I think made it a little difficult for her to explain how thinks work, the stove, what was available at the house, etc.
It is a great location, walking distance to Campo de Fiori and its restaurants and nice bars. Also very close to Piazza Navona, Trastevere, etc
The view of Roman rooftops is wondeful and we knew there were stairs but we did not realized there were so many!! I guess you have to decide : beautiful views vs 4 flight of stairs...
It was 4 of us but I think the place is better for a couple, the bedroom is really pretty with lots of light. The loft space it too tight and difficult to reach ( more if you need to go to the bathroom during the night)
Overall we had a great stay
le rdv était à l"heure
La taxe de sèjour était douteuse
paiement en espèce sans reçu
Pour 3 nuit super
This apartment is colorfully decorated (just like in the photos) with such eclectic character! It is perfectly located a hop, skip and jump from Campo de Fiori, a wonderful produce and flower market in the morning and lively at night, yet the apartment is on a side street so very quiet at night. Our family of four (with two older teens) fit very comfortably there. The little terrace overlooking the rooftops is a major plus, providing a nice outdoor space to enjoy a glass of wine before going out to dinner. The location is very central with Campo de Fiori in your backyard, Piazza Navona about a 10-minute walk, and Colosseum, Trevie Fountain (unfortunately under construction when we were there in July 2015), Spanish Steps, the Vatican, and all other major sights within 20-40 minutes walks. Unlike Venice and Florence, Rome is big and not well marked so get a good map or do the Hop On, Hop Off Bus tour. I researched a lot about where to stay in Rome and I feel this location was the best. Highly recommend walking across the river to Trastevere, a lovely neighborhood that is more local than touristy (refreshing!), for dinner (Taverna Trilussa -- the house wine was delicious) and gelato. On our way back, we visited the Vatican at night -- just beautiful with the fountains. Also recommend doing Rick Steve's Heart Walk (Rome is magical at night!). We saw all we could in our two nights, two days in Rome. There is also a taxi stand just a couple of blocks from the apartment, making it easy to get to the airport (45 euros).
Melissa as a host was great in being responsive prior to our trip and for one question during. And her earlier check in compared to other apartments was nice (we got in about 12:30 p.m.) so we could get settled and start exploring without luggage. We never met her, but she had someone else meet us who was prompt. The only downfall of the apartment is that while it has AC, for some reason it did not flow up to the very open loft where the two pull out twin beds were, making it very hot at night. Our son didn't mind, but our daughter slept in the small living room that had a futon-like couch that pulled out, so it was fine. Also, it is on the 5th floor, but we didn't mind getting our luggage up and down because the view was nice. While check out was at 10 a.m. (but we didn't need to leave for the airport until noon), Melissa was very gracious to let us leave our luggage in the apartment while they cleaned so that we could enjoy our last morning in Rome without dragging bags around. We would certainly stay in this apartment again. Thank you Melissa!
We are a family of four stayed in Melissa's flat for 3 nights. Melissa didn't show up upon our arrival. Only a cleaning lady who opened the door for us and she knows nothing about the apartment not to mention the tips about the neighbourhood.
The apartment is worn out and dirty. There is no rubbish bin in the bathroom and the only rubbish bin is in the kitchen which is broken. The shower place is too smaller and my husband could hardly turn around in it.
There is no air conditioning in the master bedroom. The loft is poorly design and so I couldn't let my sons ( 13 and 6) sleep on it due to safety reason. The main door could not open properly. The most unbearable thing is the stinky smell of the big rubbish bins on the corridor of the ground floor (we have to pass through it every time going out of the building).
Although this apartment is located right in the centre of everything, i think with the price I paid (including clean fee and booking fee), I can get a much more better managed hotel or serviced apartment.
Melissa's flat is perfectly located in Rome. Everything is within walking distance. The flat is brightly decorated and very comfortable. Excellent airflow throughout the main level. Four stars!!
