We have been renting out a charming one-bedroom unit in a beautiful Palo Alto neighborhood for years. Many of our guests are Stanford affiliated researchers, hi-tech executives and other professionals looking for quiet, clean lodging close to Stanford University and other Silicon Valley locations. I was very happy with the unit. The owner really takes care to make it a comfortable experience for guests. The neighborhood is safe, and I felt comfortable coming and going at any hour, and leaving my car parked on the street. Also, I left the owner feedback when I left, and she was very receptive to my thoughts. After taking good care of the unit and leaving it tidy, I am happy to report that I did maintain the full deposit.
The unit is quiet, clean and comfortable. It is small, but there is plenty of space to store things away.
It is quite dark inside (no direct sunlight), but that's not a problem if you stay only during the nights.
If you have a car or a bike, it's close to Stanford University (20 minutes by bike); if not, it will be hard to get around.
Kitchen equipment is basic, only one cooktop for real cooking.
Next laundry service is about a 20 minutes walk away, no problem if you have a car. The landlords do wash the bed clothes and towels though (if you ask for it).
