LARGE apartment in cool 1940's victorian building in SF's central NOPA district, on Turk & Divisadero St. Easily accessible to all parts of the city by bus or walking.
This is a 2Bdrm/2Ba apartment that I share with my roommate. He works downtown M-F and is home in the evenings & weekends, though he keeps to himself. Aside from maybe bumping into him in the kitchen, you basically have use of the common areas to yourself. He also has his own ensuite bathroom.
My bedroom is so quiet; you're guaranteed a great night's sleep. Set your alarm or you will oversleep! The room (& bathroom) is available when I'm travelling, so my clothes and personal items will be there; but you can see in the pictures that I keep everything tidy. Of course, there will be clean linens on the bed, clean towels, and some extra bathroom amenities in case you forget anything.
I won't be there during your stay, but I'm just a call or email away. I'm originally from SF so I can likely answer any questions and provide more recommendations!
Fairly newly coined NOPA (North of the Panhandle) is an awesome neighborhood! You can walk to everything you need - restaurants, cafes & bars, a nail salon or shopping at local boutiques, Alamo Square Park & the Painted Ladies, and the Panhandle, which will take you into Golden Gate Park. On Divisadero St (1 blk east), if you walk just 2 blks south & for the next 6 blks, you will have your pick of culinary delight! Some of my favorites are:
Bar Crudo, Tsunami Sushi, Nopa, Fly Bar, Candybar, and Eddie's Cafe.
Oasis Cafe has the best pour-over coffee options, but The Mill is trendiest.
You can buy groceries from a few markets, including Bi-Rite, famous for their deli food & ice-cream!
There's a Farmer's Market Sundays 10am-2pm on Grove & Divisadero.
Easy public transit via MUNI. There are 4 bus lines w/in 2 blocks: 5/5L and 31 go downtown & to the ocean. 24 runs from the Marina through the Castro to Noe Valley.
1. Laundry: coin-operated in building.
2. Street Parking: free though Mon-Fri 9am-5pm is only for 2 hours; unlimited on weekends & holidays.
3. Running: nice path along the Panhandle & into Golden Gate Park & to the beach if you're ambitious. You can always bus back :-)

Jenny's place was a great choice. The bedroom is very comfortable. The apartment is nice and full of natural light, with an outside area where you can have meals and enjoy the sun. And the house is gorgeous. The neighborhood is calm, close to all the other areas of the city, full of beautiful victorian houses and has one of the best park/squares of SF, alamo square. it is also full of places to eat and have coffee or drinks, specially at divisadero street, the new cool area of the city. communication with jenny and her roommate was great and they made me feel very comfortable.
Jenny's place was great! Central location, easy to get around the city, and very clean. It was perfect for traveling alone in SF. Thanks!
Thanks for the review. I just returned home on Sunday. I tried multiple times to write a review for you, but it seems I can't (maybe the window of time expired).
My roommate said he didn't meet you and that you were quiet. Hope you had nice R&R.
Staying at Jenny's apartment was great! She was an excellent host, responded quickly and was flexible with my arrival and departure times. She even arranged to ship an item I had left behind. The room and apartment were perfectly clean. Spacious back yard and nice kitchen. Her room mate was quiet and friendly when I met him. The apartment was centrally located in the city. I would definitely stay again!
I loved staying at Jenny's place! It was super clean, and the location is perfect - it's 10 minutes away from everything! Jenny was an awesome host! She sent me a detailed email about how I can get to her place from the airport, things I could do in SF, etc. She was readily available at all times, and generous in her time when responding to any questions I had. She left detailed information about the place. Her bed is so, SO comfortable - she warned me about that, so I had to make sure to set a proper alarm anytime I went to sleep.
This was my first experience with Airbnb, and Jenny made it flawless! If I got back to SF, and need a place to stay, this would be my first choice, hands down!
My stay here was fantastic. Jenny was available and responsive, and was super helpful, months before I even left home, while I was still planning. She provided recommendations of what to do in San Francisco, which I really appreciated.
Jenny left incredibly thorough instructions for her apartment, her place was beautiful and her bed was super comfy which is exactly what you need after hours of walking around hilly San Francisco.
Thanks so much for a memorable experience Jenny!
Jenny is attentive from the very start before I even made the booking. she gave good advice in terms of the logistics . Her bedroom is very comfy and I had restful sleep. Ensuite bathroom also ensures privacy. Nice bars and cafes around the area too. Easy public transport. Definitely will return to her in future
I had a great time at Jenny's place. The appartment is only 3 blocks away from Alamo Square and the public transportation by bus worked very well to get to other hot spots, like Golden Gate, Downtown or Fisherman's Wharf.
You should definitely spend 5 or more days there, because the appartment is very comfortable and there are so many things to see in San Francisco.
I took the super shuttle from the airport. It's about 30 minutes to the appartment. It is for rent while Jenny is not in town but she provided very helpful instructions and her room mate George is super helpful. We had great breakfast conversation about the tech companies in the area.
I'll have to come back to San Francisco bext year because the time was so short and there are so many great things to see. Jenny's appartment is the ideal base camp for your trip.
Jenny was super-diligent in setting everything up for my stay, leaving clear directions and having everything super-tidy.
The place is beautiful and spacious with a nice Victorian charm that adds to the overall "San Francisco experience".
Jenny was out of town but checked back with me regularly to make sure everything was OK and made me feel quite welcomed.
If you're on your way to SF and need a cozy place to end your day quietly and comfortably, Jenny's is a safe bet! ;)
Very nice place in a safe neighborhood, Jenny was really nice and hospitable. Awesome week in San Francisco, I recommend this place!
I spent a touristic weekend in San Francisco, staying at Jenny's place. My decision to take this trip was very last minute, but Jenny responded immediately to my messages; she was very friendly. Later, when I arrived at the apartment, she took the time to help me over the phone to find my way around.
The apartment is part of a grand Victorian mansion. It is beautiful, tidy, and very spacious. It is located in a very good neighborhood, close to many interesting places (for example Castro and Japantown) and good coffee shops and restaurants. I would certainly recommend this place to my friends.
