Urubamba has a wide variety of restaurants, hikes, ruins and culture. Chances are good you will witness a festival during your stay.
Moto-taxis are plentiful and inexpensive. Taxis can be called to the house. Local calls are free.
The beauty of this space is the feeling of being in the country while being able to walk to town. Urubamba has three farmers' markets weekly - Sunday, Wednesday and Friday, but the municipal market is open every day. This is a fabulous place to practice or learn Spanish, and of course make the trek to Machu Picchu. Trains to MP are from Ollyantaytambo 20 minutes away by collectivo (per person paid private van or car) or private taxi.
