About this listing
The Granary is a very unusual space for Dublin, a loft, more in the New York style. It is central to everything, and that's not an exaggeration. There is a great in-house library, film/music collection at the disposal of the discerning traveler.
The space is a converted warehouse (an ex grain store) and exudes a warmth and charm, which many people and friends, find hard to leave behind. If you wish, depending on your particular interests, I can put together a welcome pack with details regarding that which interest you.
A real insiders view of what's on, where to go and what to do in Dublin.
Your host awaits!
The loft has:
1 master bedroom with one king size four-poster bed.
2 single bedrooms with 1 single bed each.
1 bathroom with bath/shower, sink and toilet.
Open space area and living room with soft couches.
Guests have access to their room, the bathroom (which in includes a power shower), lots of chill-out space and relaxation area and the kitchen. You won't want to leave.
Interaction with guests
I will be around to sort out any problems, help with any information and make the best recommendations of where to visit during your stay - where to go and when to do it.
The Granary is very well situated. It is only a 5 minute stroll from Temple Bar, very close to tram-lines (Luas), public bicycles and all transport links. There are plenty of great eateries (at every price level) and cozy cafés within a 60 second stroll.
On your way to the many attractions throughout the city, from city bus tours by day and night, many places of interest and lots of museums.
We even have a leprechaun museum 5 minute's walk away!
There are a number of options to get to city centre:
Walk - approx journey time by foot is 5-10 minutes everywhere in city centre.
Tram (Luas) - the Green line tram stop (south direction) is approx 12 minutes walk from the rental. The Red line tram stop (north direction) is 2min walk from the listing. (for more see Luas routes luas dot ie)

Cycle - sign up to Dublin free bikes - dublinbikes dot ie

If you plan to use public transport as your main means of getting around then you should get a Leap card. A Leap Card is a reusable plastic smart card that can be used instead of paper tickets to pay-as-you-go for transport in Dublin.
The Leap Card works on public buses, the Luas tram and the Dart train service, these are time based tickets (e.g a weekly/monthly ticket)
The “Leap Visitor Card" - has 3 different pricing options as follows:
1 Day (24 hours) - €10.00
3 Days (72 hours) - €19.50
7 Days (168 hours) - €40.00
Your chosen time period starts from the first time you use the card.
Search for Leap Visitor Card and you can find out the locations to purchase at the airport or in the city - leapcard dot ie
Taxi - Link Cabs know 'The Granary' very well!
Other things to note
On arrival, you will have bottled water and a local SIM card for your phone, plus the use of a picnic basket and a mat, if you decide to dine 'al fresco' in one of the many parks dotted around the city.
As 'The Granary' is a home, I just expect guests to leave things as they find them- If it's open, close it. If it spills, wipe it.... The normal sort of stuff. Smoking is permitted, but not inside the building.
