Mueller Development is across I-35 @ 51st Street. It is a total green build of a former airport. It has restored prairie park with lakes, paths and family friendly setting. Many restaurants, shops and housing make up a winning multi use development.
Too much cool stuff in the area; Threadgill's on Lamar, where Janis Joplin started singing for home cooking and Sunday bluegrass brunch. Mmmm. Stiles Switch BBQ has rivaled Franklin's with no 2 hour wait. Blues on Friday nights early. Groovy Autmotive has Roky Erickson's Les Paul sculpture (bat themed) in front garden area with waterfall, Bouganvillea. Take a pic. Old Austin still abounds.
No smoking inside , have small fenced patio back off dry creek. Appliances rule: run one only at a time : microwave, toaster oven , blender, coffee maker please. Circuit is fine just trips breaker with too much draw on one outlet. Stove is new, oven works. Turn knob all the way up broil, wait for lighting of burner by opening lower door and then dial it down for cooking in oven. Top burners same way, up all the way , wait then dial it back.
Place has natural air flow with open sliding glass door and front lower window open. ceiling fans help to circulate for a nice setting. Strong breezes outside move air along, circulates inside easily.
