It offers a cozy atmosphere, with a wonderful deck that provides views of the renowned Troublemaker rapids on the South Fork American River. This unique property in the Coloma Valley, where gold was discovered in 1848, is highly recommended. We invite you to explore the beautiful gold country from this historical waterfront cottage.

The space
This charming one-bedroom, one-bathroom cottage offers a prime riverfront location on the American River, boasting picturesque views of Troublemaker Rapids with a queen bed and a couch /futon. It is pet-friendly and features a full kitchen, along with a compact bathroom equipped with a toilet, shower, and sink. This particular cottage is one of seven situated on five gated acres, conveniently located near Marshall Gold Discovery State Park, whitewater rafting opportunities, wine tasting venues, and other attractions. Guests can enjoy various activities such as walking, biking, hiking, rafting, and floating. The property is known as Coloma Cottages, zip code 95613.

Please see house manual for important access information and more. Queen bed in bedroom. No door on bedroom. Couch converts to futon for added sleeping. Pets are $15 per pet, per night, with pre approval. There is a 75 lb weight max and we allow 2 pets maximum.

Our family thoroughly enjoys traveling, and discovering new destinations. I was fortunate enough to grow up in this beautiful valley and attend my parents' one of a kind whitewater school to become the youngest river guide in Coloma back in the 1980's. My fiance' and I particularly cherish enhancing this beautiful property, with the goal of sharing it with our esteemed guests.
