A Beautiful home in London for you

Apartment - Entire home/apt · Gloucester Terrace, Paddington, England W2, United Kingdom

The Space

A spacious Victorian period home/ flat with its very own street entrance - very prestigious!
Very nicely decorated and it feels like a real home. Cow hide in the floors, carpeted bedrooms, large windows and morning and early afternoon sun flooding the room. There is a large flat-screen TV 42`and wireless internet.

There are two bedrooms which are very quiet providing for great sleep and rest. The linen I provided are of excellent quality. Plenty storage everywhere and a large closet by the hallway - a marble bathroom with rain shower and a bath-tube and another guest washroom.

The flat has lots of antiques, books and paintings and it feels/looks like a real home away from home! The kitchen is semi open-plan and has everything one needs for a comfortable stay - washer, dish-washer, etc.. There is a marble table that sits 6 people.

The flat is about 3 minutes walk from Paddington train station, 2 minutes from Lancaster gate tube and 5 minutes from Baywater station, making it very easy to access.
It is also 10 minutes from Notting hill gate and 5 minutes walk from the greens of Hyde Park.

Plenty restaurants, retail shops and supermarkets near by and one of the best cinemas in London ' The Lounge' just 2 minutes away.

Heathrow Express is 3 minutes away at paddington station.

  • Had a great week in London, much thanks to Cleyenne's flat! The place is nice and clean with everything you need to stay. The location is perfect. The neighbourhood is safe and quiet at night, and the tube station is just nearby. Also ,we had no hassle receiving or giving the keys. I can definitely recommend staying there!

  • Cleyenne was very pleasant and helpful. The flat is gorgeous, just as described. The only problem experienced was with the wifi but otherwise all went smoothly

    October 2012
  • We did not meet Cleyenne in person, but the communication was really good and we easily agreed on everything. Cleyenne allowed us to push back our check-out time by few hours to let us leave the bags in the listing, which was really nice. The apartment location is very good, just a short walk from Paddington station. Easy access to most of interesting things and a great lebanese restaurant nearby :). The apartment itself is ok, it's quite spacious and there is more than enough room for 3-4 people. There were however few things that could be improved. We could sense the apartment wasn't cleaned since a few weeks. Also, when we arrived the place was really, really cold (air temperature). We were welcomed by bed linens and other laundry hanging on a dryer. The couch, shower, bathtub, mugs and glass in the kitchen could use some serious cleaning. Besides this we enjoyed our stay very much and once more big thanks to Cleyenne for having us.

We didn’t get to meet Cleyenne in person, but she was very helpful and thorough in replying our messages, and everything went well.

    LOCATION & ACCESS
The house is located in a great area just north of Hyde Park, minutes away from the Paddington & Lancaster Gate tube stops. The street is peaceful, and there are supermarkets nearby. Access was easy and convenient, with keys placed in a code protected masterlock just outside the house.

    HOUSE
The house feels spacious, above-average, with plenty of natural light, adequate furniture, and easily accommodates up to 4 people. The only real problem we had was the fridge, which even at lowest setting would completely freeze all you dared store inside to the point of uselessness.

    CLEANLINESS
The house seemed to had gone some recent renovations prior to our arrival (brand new carpet floors, among other things) which was great, but meant considerable amounts of dust scattered all over the living room furniture, which we had to clean upon arrival.

    CONCLUSION
A solid choice for your stay, and good price quality ratio.

  • Tip for tired travelers: almost every bus line just across from Paddington station will go 1/2 block from this place. Just ask if they go to Bishop's Bridge Road and get off at the first stop. Save 4-5 blocks of walking after a long day.

Flat is in a great location, but should have been a little better stocked and maintained. We would not expect to have to buy our own bars of bath soap, toilet paper, paper towels or dish soap for this price. When we arrived the place was clean, but the bed linens were hanging all over the apartment, still damp from washing. We can understand that maybe time ran out for the dryer (which takes forever), but we would have thought someone would come by and put things away. We finally did so ourselves. 3 of 4 lights in the kitchenette area and 9 of 12 in the living room chandelier were burned out (and little other lighting). We asked that these be replaced. Cleyenne took care of the kitchenette but not the chandelier. Queen bed was very comfortable, but the bed in the rear was so - so. Overall it was we had a good time and the place was certainly adequate for our needs.

  • I stayed at Cleyenne´s flat for 5 days with my family. It was a great experience, the location is just perfect as it´s really central and you have lots of transport choices around (5 different tube lines and lots of buses), supermarkets, restaurants and Hyde park just minutes walking. The flat it self it´s very spacious, it has everything you´ll need and it is really nicely decorated. Cleyenne has been very helpful and nice with us. We would definitely rent this flat again!!

  • My family had a wonderful time staying in Cley's Gloucester Terrace home. The arrangements were easy to make, Cley did a great job of staying in touch with us as we made our way from Heathrow, we were met at the apartment, and all of our questions were answered. A wonderful check-in process.

During our stay, Cley was very willing to stay in contact via phone, text, and email (thank you, Cley, for doing this!).

The flat is exactly as the photos suggest. Everything works fine (how excellent having a washer/dryer!). The reception area is very spacious and a terrific place to return to in the evenings to have a nice meal, watch TV, and relax. There are two bathrooms, a large tub, and closed-in shower. Again, everything works fine.

You can tell from the map that the location is great. A quiet street (the bedrooms are in the back of the flat, nonetheless), near several grocery stores, and accessible to Paddington, Hyde Park, Little Venice, and the Underground.

I would recommend the flat mostly to be hosted by Cley's professionalism. It is not easy dealing with a family of five, but she did an excellent job and was very accommodating.

  • Excellent location and very spacious place to stay.
Great communication and very accommodating, nothing to say against it. What you see is what you get.
    Thanks Cleyenne !

  • The place was really close to public transportation and really cosy. The only problem was that when I was supposed to pick up the keys, Cleyenne was not feeling well, so although she had the place cleaned, she hadn't been able to check on a couple of things. Our first night the boiler was off, so there was no heat or hot water. We called her and then it was fixed the next day. I just wish that she could have gotten someone to fix it on the first day because it was really cold in the apt.

About
Hello! I am a property developer and also sometimes an interior designer here in London where I have lived for the past 17 years - My pastimes are literature, drawing and music. I love travelling, but then, who doesn't? Being in London makes travel abroad very easily as we have more flights the any other country and perhaps less sun than any other country too! But there is plenty humour, fun and friendship to get us by and England is so green, there are parks, square and gardens, alas, we are surrounded by trees everywhere :)
