About this listing

We offer a clean, simple room with a proper 1,5m bed (for 1 or 2 people) in our flat. It is situated in a quiet and safe neighbourhood. Mostly German and international people in their 25-40 live around. It is not in the touristic area, but it is extremely close to everything. Very well communicated day and night with trams and sbahn. Just one sbahn ( s9 in 35mins) to get to Schönefeld, just 11 mins to Alexander Platz and 2 tram stops to be in the heart of Fhain. Very close to most clubs too.

The space

Our flat consists of a living room, a big room, a smaller bedroom, a bathroom with a bath tub and a kitchen with a washing machine and a dishwasher. It is situated in Friedrichshain, one of the coolest areas in Berlin.

Very central, sunny and good communicated with Sbahn, tram and bus. Amazing view over Friedrichshain, top floor and very quite. Alt bau, recently renovated, super new.

We are renting the smaller room for a maximum period of two weeks.
When we are away we rent also the bigger room.

The area is quite but still very close to Simon Dach Strasse, one of the busiest streets in Berlin with loads of cafes, restaurants, shops etc.

Just a few meters from our flat you can find bakeries, late night shops, bars, pizzerias, restaurants.

You can move very easily, as it is very good connected with Sbahn and tram right round the corner. The tram runs 24/7, so there is always a way to get to our flat easily.

Please NO DOWNLOADING!
In Germany it is illegal to download films, series, music etc and you could end up in court & will have to pay a big fine for that.

You are not allowed to have guests, unless we are aware and ok with it.

This is a no shoes apartment. Please take yours slippers with you, ask us to lend a pair or walk with no shoes inside. We are against wearing your shoes inside anyways, but now we got expensive rugs, that we cannot afford to have cleaned every time a guest leaves.

In case we are away:
Please water our plants.
If there are more people in the flat, ask them before smoking in common used rooms. We smoke and don't mind smokers.
No guests.

The apartment was great, just like the photos showed at the airbnb page. Dina & Max were very helpful and very kind giving us some advices to enjoy the city. In addition, the aparment is well located and well communicated by public transport.

Dina and Max's apartment was just perfect! It was a welcomed quiet after traveling for 24 hours. The bed was comfortable and the apartment had everything I needed. It was a short walk to the train station which takes you directly into the heart of Berlin. The apartment was very cool and exceptional clean. Unfortunately, I did not get the meet Dina or Max but they communicated exactly how to get to the apartment and where the keys were. Their apartment made my stay in Berlin fabulous. I would absolutely stay there again next time I visit Berlin.

The room was pretty and clean as described and the hosts were really helpful and very communicative! Despite not being around during our stay, they emailed clear instructions on how to reach their place, adjust the heater and how to pick up keys. Our only gripe was that there was no elevator so it's a little inconvenient if you have big luggage. Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay there!

The room Dina & Max are offering is a big room with a nice view on a playground an buildings in the middle of Friedrichshain. Everything we could hope for was there for us to use. A bath, a kitchen, big living room and a fine bed. Thanks to the large amount of e-mails we sent to eachother, everything was clear and well prepared as soon as we arrived. We can recommend this room to everyone! Even tho we haven't seen Dina & Max when we were in their house, it felt like home.

Dina and Max were lovely hosts, offering us advice on where to go over NYE and responding promptly to all of our questions. The apartment is very spacious and clean, much like in photos. We stayed in the main bedroom, and found the bed is a little uncomfortable, but bearable. We had a bit of trouble with the heating while we were there, and had to leave early due to no hot water and heating in the apartment during our stay. Unfortunately, Dina and Max were away over this time, so could not come over to help, however helped as best as they could to get it sorted, and got their friend to come over and try to fix it, but he couldn't. I believe upon their arrival home they will get it fixed for the next tenants, so it shouldn't be an issue :)

Response from Dina & Max:
We were in Tunisia for two weeks and rented both our bedroom and the second bedroom for a few days only once each, to make sure that everything will be clean and in place for the guests. We extra chose the people for the second bedroom to be Australians as well, so it would be more likely that they would all get along and have fun together. It is important for us that everybody is happy and that there are good vibes in our flat. Unfortunately the other two guys, who arrived first, managed to block the heating, since instead of turning up the temperature, they pressed all the other buttons. This resulted in heating and water problems. Since we were away, all I could do is try to be online every day as many times as possible to try to help the guys out. In the end when I saw that there is nothing I can do and neither my friend who went to help them out, I offered them to leave the flat earlier and to reimburse them, which also happened. When we got back we called the technician, who said that we should only adjust the temperature and don't push any other buttons and fixed the problem. We have been living in this flat for 2,5 years and never ever experienced any problems, since everything in the flat is brand new. Apart from that I have to note that the bed that Cherise found uncomfortable is the bed we sleep in and is a normal bed, that I have had for 5 years now. In general we liked the guys from our email communication, they were very polite, nice and seemed very interesting, so we were even sorry to be gone and not get to meet them.

The room was very clean and nice, exactly as in the picture. I had a very pleasant experience. The apartment is about 15 minutes walking distance from the nearest S-bahn. I asked many questions before going there and all of them were answered right away. I had a minor problem when I went to get the keys as planned, but Dina answered me right away and was super nice the whole time. I would recommend this apartment to other people and plan on staying in it again in the future. (-:

My name is Dina and I was born and raised in Greece, but have been living since 10 years in Berlin.

I have studied law, but at the moment work at an electronic music promotion and booking agency and as a dj. I speak English, German, Italian, Spanish and Greek.

I live in Friedrichshain, Berlin with my husband Max, who is working as a product manager at two music labels. We are in our thirties and work every day during the week and travel or dj and party on the weekend. We dj and produce electronic music (slow techno, acid, post disco, chug), have a blog and run our own events.

We love traveling, music, films, art, parties and meeting new interesting people.

We enjoy having friends over at ours and are smokers.

You are welcome to Berlin! We would love to help you have a great time here, give you tips (sightseeing or partying) and if there is time and will from both sides, hang out with you!

Find the room with the title:
Cute sunny room in Friedrichshain

Rarely we can offer you the room with the title:
Sunny Room with a great view in FH!

We are always happy to meet new people from all over the world!

But after doing airbnb for four years now and having made different experiences, we are a bit picky.

Requirements:
We prefer to host adults between 22-45 years old, you need to have a picture and write in your request what you do for a living and what is the purpose of your travel and who you are travelling with. We will be staying a few nights under the same roof, so it would be good if we more or less got along.

We would also prefer to have guests who will not be cooking at home (had the forgotten hot plate/stove or burnt pans and smell all over the house way too many times so far. It's not really worth the risk, since our own flat/things are at stake, so we prefer to be careful than sorry). You can of course keep things in the fridge, just no cooking please. Eating out in Berlin is very cheap anyways and we are happy to give you tips.

We also have the rule of no shoes in the house, you would have to leave them in the flat by the entrance.

You are not allowed to bring people back to the flat. No extra guests please!

Please contact us and don't hesitate to ask us any questions.
