Awesome location, awesome apartment for a very reasonable price!!!
This place is, as stated, a "cosy gem"... tiny, but so sweet and very comfortable. The apartment was very clean when we arrived, with fresh linens, soft pillows, and very well equipped with everything we needed. Also very quiet in that apartment for being in the heart of Rome. The location is fantastic -- everything is within walking distance: Vatican City, Piazza Navona, Trevi fountain, Colosseum!
Close to the flat there are two small supermarkets (Todi's and Carrefore Express) both easy walking distance, and a fresh produce market in the nearby square on weekday mornings. The kitchen is tiny but had everything we needed to cook simple meals-- two burner stovetop, toaster oven, pots pans, dishes, small stovetop espresso maker. Basic kitchen items like salt, olive oil, dish soap, wine opener, paper towels, napkins, (email hidden) seems everything was thought of by the hosts!
The bed is a small two person bed, but the sleeping loft is so cosy we did not mind a bit! But, if you are very tall or are used to a large bed, you should know it is a small double. The wifi in the apartment is not very reliable but it worked ok for checking email, and there is an internet place and a coffee bar with wifi nearby if you need a faster connection.
Stefano, who showed us to the apartment was great and met us right on time and showed us everything-- and Simon and Francy were really prompt and helpful with email communication ahead of time.
A cosy, charming little place for one or two people to explore Rome from an awesome, central location. Considering what people charge for a hostel room in Rome, this place is an incredible value if you are on a budget but also value your privacy.
We had a great stay and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else if we ever return to Rome.
If you base your choice on the following: location, price, cleanness, comfort, size, it is perfect if your ranking is in this order. In other words the location is perfect, for a reasonable price, a fairly clean apartment, with moderate comfort and which is small... But altogether we had a perfect stay, Rome has so much to see and to do, so why would you want to be in the apartment? We only used it for sleeping and then it is more than perfect.
Stefano's place was nice & cozy. Right in the thick of things, Trastevere is the place to be. Easy walk to every site you would want to see. Cheers.
The house of Simon & Francy was really cute. We had a very nice and comfortable stay at their apartment. All the well known sights were on walking distance. The surroundings of the apartment is very lively and full with good restaurants and small shops.
Well located to explore Rome. Space enough for two persons. Little bit dark inside, but it isn't very big problem. Maybe it is a good time to renew the bathroom because of high humidity? Good contact with host.
Very well located appartement, in a quiet street but near to the animated area of trasterve (lot of restaurants et bars). The location enable to join the points of interest of Rome by foot.
The appartement is little but practical and good enought for 2.
Rapidity of answer and very good reception by our host.
A great little apartment. It was in a good location and was a perfect base to explore Rome from. Thanks
Great location right next to the cozy places in Trastevere, though quiet.
The place is nice and cozy. It is good for the price you are paying, but this is definitely not the luxury hotel. Although it is in the lively trastevere area of Rome, it is really quit. Close to a plaza where you can get food and etc. There were two downside in my opinion. The wireless internet never worked for me. I wasn't able to make reservations or anything. You have a none secured wifi with poor signal you can leech off from. The second thing was the shower. Nothing wrong with the heat or anything, it is just there are some mold growing in between the tiles. But I guess because the humidity of Rome, it couldn't be helped.
Overall, if the Wifi worked, I would definitely stay there again.
