I really have a great stay at Hidemi's share house. Hidemi is hospitable person. She gave me a lot of help and suggestions on my visit in Kyoto. Her guest house rested in the suburban area of Kyoto. It is about 30 minutes via subway from Kyoto train station. So getting a one day pass of subway or either subway & bus will save you lots of transportation fee. The direction to Hidemi’s guest house from the nearest subway is quite straightforward. But the streets has little lighting so I suggest single traveler especially women should not return to the guest house too late at night. (But according to Hidemi, the area is quite safe so she thinks there’s no concerns for personal safety). The guest house is really clean and tidy. My room is mixed share room. There is a bunk bed and a single bed in the share room. My roommates were all nice and easy to get along with. There’s a supermarket and convenience store on the way from the subway station to the guest house so it is really convenient for you to get your breakfast or even late night snack. I really enjoy my stay at Kyoto and the nice and cozy guest house of Hidemi’s. If I have a chance to visit Kyoto, I will sure stay at Hidemi’s guest house again.
Hidemi is a very helpful, friendly and generous host! She has created a wonderful space for travelers to stay and share their experiences with each other. I would highly recommend her space as a safe and welcoming space to any travelers.
Hidemi is such a good host! i remember what she did for me and her dinner. Everything was excellent and i will strongly recommenend my friend if they travel Kyoto.
Hidemi is a very nice person that helped me when necessary and always informed if everything was alright. When arriving, she had prepared some tours in Kyoto which made it easy for me to explore. The house is clean and comfortable and there is heating in the different rooms! When leaving, Hidemi provided me with a small breakfast which I enjoyed on the train returning to Tokyo! Thanks Hidemi!
Hidemi, the host, is the everything you want in a host. Helpful, informative, kind and funny to be with. You share the accomodation with a few people but the place is confortable, convinient and has everything you need.
Hidemi is the nicest lady on the world. She is very quick to reply to my messages. If there is anything i need at all, she will quickly accommodate. I left my scarf at her shared house. She emailed me and said she will send it to me!
On my first night at her place, she prepared a feast! It was so delicious even now i still droll a bit just by thinking about it. She even drove me to places i wanted to visit on her free time.
Her place is very clean and well kept. I would recommend her place for sure!
Hidemi is an Incredible friendly host and she provided me with tons of useful information. Her place is somewhat away from the city (around 20 minutes subway connection) but you will experience the true Kyoto lifestyle when staying with her. Near her place you will find several restaurants, a great bakery and a supermarket.
Prior to my departure, Hidemi invited me to her home to meet her husband and 2 kids and she prepared a lovely Japanese breakfast.
Excellent value and highly recommended.
Kyoto is a very interesting old capital town, it is so beautiful in fall time with the colourful tree leaves. That is my first time in Japan. People are honestly and helpfully. Special my host, Hidemi and Akihiko, they are willing to help you in any cases. They are altruistic by helping you. I do not know, how to express my thanks to them. Hidemie borrowed me her bike for exporing the area, Akihito brought me to the proper ATM to get cash, because some of the ATM´s nearby do not accept my card, Hidemi checked the pick-up time with airport shuttle company etc.. I think, they are one of the most helpful peoples I have ever met. Many many thanks, I hope there will be an occasion to come back again.
I stayed at the share house with other travelers with whom I ended up going for drinks and dinner, so definitely a good point to be among fellow foreigners.
Hidemi and her husband have been very nice and welcoming during my stay in Kyôto. It was just a short one this time as I wanted to spend my last 36 hours there before going back to France. They served us food, sweets, and always had good recommendations for places to visit.
Going to Kyôto and visiting around was convenient as Central Station is only 15 minutes away.
In the end, I would definitely recommend this place to other people traveling to Kyôto. Especially if you already know your way around, this is a cheap and happy way to discover another side of the city!
This was a great spontaneous stay. Hidemi is an excellent hosts and really cares about you. Big living room with kitchen, everything very clean, would definitely recommend.
