Hidemi is an excellent host and her share house is in a nice, quiet neighborhood in Kyoto. Upon arrival she gives you your key, map of Kyoto and recommendations of places to visit while there. LISTEN TO HER RECOMMENDATIONS!!! The bakery by her house is amazing and inexpensive. My personal favorite temple/shrine that I visited is just south of Philosopher's Path called Nanjenji Temple (Hidemi recommended it) as well as Hoenen-in (this one is also by Philosopher's Path, on the north end). Hidemi brought myself and other travelers to a very nice restaurant near her house. The share house is clean and neat and the people I shared it with were all very kind. I enjoyed the old style interior, the sliding doors and paper windows. I stayed in mid April and it was common to leave the windows open during the day for the nice breeze. I only saw one other traveler besides myself and roommates in Hidemi's town. She is near the train station and it's very convenient. She is very welcoming and inviting and does her best to help out any way she can. She even brought us all to the train station (not the one by her house) to help us out. Hidemi is the sweetest little lady in all of Japan and you'd be doing yourself a favor by staying with her. She even gives you a hand drawn map (that is very good) for your stay.

Ms. Hidemi was great. She's really nice and super helpful. When I mentioned that I'd use the bath, she cleaned it for me, even though I was fine with doing it myself, since I was the first one to use it in a long time. She also gave me a ride to the station and came running after me for a block when I forgot and started walking to the station on my own! The house wad nice and clean and in a good neighborhood. I'd definitely stay there again.

Ahhh Hidemi was so welcoming and helpful from the very moment I stepped into Kyoto! She picked me up from the train station and made sure I was comfortable before she left. She also gave me maps and various information about the town. The other people staying in the house for long term were also very sweet and friendly. The bed was comfortable and we were free to use the whole kitchen. The location is aproximately 10 minutes walk from the closest train station.

Hidemi is such a great and welcoming host. Her indications were very good and I had no problem finding the house, which is located close to a metro station and has all the advertised amenities. The shared space is very comfy so it is perfect to hang around with other travelers. She went above and beyond to help with transportation, provide information for visiting Kyoto, take the time to talk and share experiences, and make my stay enjoyable. Highly recommend.

Hidemi-san was a really fantastic host. Not only did she send me numerous messages on Kyoto advice, she offered to pick me up at the train station! Hidemi-san's house was located near a subway station that was in the suburbs of Kyoto. It was a cozy and comfortable house that had all the amenities you will need. Hidemi-san worked very hard to make sure my stay was enjoyable. She even brought me to nearby temples at night time by car after she got off from work, which was incredibly nice! I recommend Hidemi-san to any other travelers in Kyoto!

Hidemi is the kindest host and went out of her way to make sure I got the most out of my short visit to Kyoto. Her share house was clean, easily located, and perfect for someone who doesn't want the hustle and bustle of downtown Kyoto. Hidemi offered many tips on the happenings within the city, gave me a ride to the train station the morning I left, and even brought tea to my sick roommate! If ever I visit Kyoto again this will be the only place I'll stay.

I enjoyed my stay here. I got to hear great stories from more experienced travelers that gave me insight to not just Kyoto, but the world. If I came back to Kyoto I would definitely stay here again. Hidemi is the nicest person ever.
