Welcome to the "Jungle Villa", it is located on a hillside over looking a lush green valley and the beautiful Pacific ocean below with it's wonderful sunsets. Our villa is very private and secure with a gated entrance and yet it is less than a 10 minute walk to town.

The Jungle Villa is our largest 1 bedroom apartment. It is a 1 bedroom, 1 bath apartment, with living room, kitchen and outside porch. The bedroom and bath are air conditioned for your sleeping comfort, while the living room and kitchen are cooled by the ocean breezes and ceiling fans. The living room and kitchen are screened in on 3 sides with wrap around windows and it is the perfect place to sit and listen to the birds, or watch the monkeys and iguanas that often visit just outside your windows. With a step outside to the front porch, you can sit down and relax and enjoy the ocean views and the most amazing sunsets.
Enjoy the pool and rancho as you relax at the property, or take a short walk to central Quepos where you will find local restaurants, shopping, live music and more. It's also a short walk to the marina and our newest park, where you can watch the local fishing and tour boats going in and out. We are tucked away on a hillside in the jungle with tremendous ocean views and yet we are less than a 5 minute walk to 3 restaurants, 1 is very typical and cheap, they have karaoke a few nights a week and there are ping pong, pool and foosball tables, this is a fun place and a great place to take the kids to. The other 2 are at the beautiful new marina with amazing sunset views. The town of Quepos is a 10 minute walk and you will find everything you might need there.
You will find the bus station and taxi's in a 10 minute walk to Quepos central, or we can call a taxi to pick you up at our place. We have parking available at our place if you have a rental car.
Swimming between the hours of 8AM and 9PM
Smoking outside only
We had a wonderful time at Jungle Villa. The apartment is up quite a steep hill but it is a really quick walk to town and taxis are plentiful and cheap if you don't fancy the walk back. The apartment itself was just as described and the bar/pool area was fantastic - it felt very private, not overlooked by any other houses and with amazing views. A great space to return to after days out. Marta and Douglas were really welcoming and were available for any help/advice we needed. And the wildlife that surrounded the apartments just made our trip :)
We stayed with Marta and Douglas for a month. It was fantastic! We had a wonderful time and Marta and Douglas were able to help us with whatever questions or ideas we had for travel. A bit of a gamble to stay in one place for a month but we are so happy we did!
Some highlights: sunsets, monkeys, iguanas, Marta y Douglas!, a sense of independence, views of fishing boats and cruise ships heading in and out of the harbor, the honor bar/pool/social area, meeting people from other countries, working on our spanish, Club Banana, proximity to Quepos and the market on Fridays and Saturdays, proximity to Manuel Antonio National Park. We just loved it here and felt like it was the perfect place for us to launch off on the occasional adventure and then return "home" to the beauty and warmth of Casa Pargo and its host family.
Marta and Douglas were incredible hosts. If you have any need for transportation, suggestions for food, what to do, how much things will cost etc. they will have the answers. Their apartments have the best view in Quepos and have a small kitchen area, sitting room, and porch. Their pool and bar area is serene and extremely peaceful. You don't even have to go to the beach for sunset, their spot on the hill is perfect for sunset watchers. Get some local coffee to brew in your coffee pot and sit to enjoy the monkeys when they come to say hello in the morning. I shall definitely be back to casa pargo.
We had a great time staying at Marta and Douglas' place. The view is amazing, our place was cleaned every day which we didnt expect. The pool is spotless. We had plenty of room and a big balcony. The monkeys came by often and were very entertaining. We would definately go back there again. Great hosts!
Marta and Douglas were both very friendly and Marta told us about lots of things to do in the area. They have very comfortable apartments with nice kitchens. They have a lovely pool and a little bar where you buy beer or soda. You can walk to town. One thing I loved was all of the wildlife around the apartments. Almost every day a troop of white faced monkeys travel by. I saw some large iguanas in the trees and a toucan. We stayed for two days but you could comfortably stay for a week.
Jungle Villa is a very comfortable place to stay…it's kept very clean. You can tell that they take pride in their place. We enjoyed the views of the marina from the hilltop. The Sunsets were awesome! Marta greeted us when we got there, and helped us with anything that we needed. The pool was very refreshing, as well as the air conditioning in the bedroom . We were even entertained by a family of monkeys one day as well. Even though it is a little bit of a climb to walk up to the place….we actually enjoyed the workout, and the views were well worth it!
We would definitely return….thank you Marta & Douglas.

Our "Jungle Villa" was everything we hoped to find in Quepos, Costa Rica! The cleanliness was superb, the layout of the villa met all of our needs, including a comfortable bed, large bath and convenient kitchen. The view from our porch made our morning coffee taste that much better! Marta and Douglas are charming and helpful, exceptional hosts! Saul gave meticulous attention to housekeeping and caring for the pool and rancho every day. He is charming and I loved practicing my Spanish with him! We enjoyed meeting outher guests. Our 2x daily walk down to Quepos was wonderful, but we always took a taxi back home. EVERYONE on the property and in Quepos/Manuel Antonio were wonderful to us!! We hated to leave earlier than planned! Back soon! Muchas gracias Amigos y Hasta Luego!!

About the Host, Marta And Douglas
I have a very outgoing personality and love to dance, cook and laugh. I enjoy meeting and helping people. I love to travel throughout my country and other countries as well. My husband Douglas and I have been married for 25 years and have two daughters, Bianca 23 and Sandy 18. Both girls attend the university in San Jose. Both Douglas and I were born and raised in Quepos and we think that with all of the lovely areas in Costa Rica, that the Quepos/Manuel Antonio are is the most beautiful.
I like to dance and cook as well. Although I am not as outgoing as my wife, I do enjoy meeting other people. I have worked for the national electric company "ICE for 27 years as a maintenance supervisor. I like to travel and enjoy seeing other areas of our beautiful country. We slowly built on our property over the years and enjoy sharing it with others. Now with the pool and rancho completed I think we are finally finished.
