Located one and a half hours north of Brisbane and approx 13 kilometres south of Noosa Heads, Peregian Beach is one of many lovely beaches between Noosa and Coolum.
Maroochydore Airport is just 20 minutes away.
The house has tiled marble floors downstairs and timber floors upstairs. There is a new dishwasher and it's very easy to keep clean.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Our stay at the Beach Shack was a pleasant, quiet, holiday. The house was newly renovated in parts, and an old fashioned A frame in the bones. The kitchen offered all the items we needed to cook dinner, and a well working dishwasher to clean up. The WiFi worked very well and there were many books and magazines to read and relax with on the front veranda or open plan living space downstairs. The yard was quite spacious and shady. The beds were comfortable enough and Annie provided us with linen. It got quite cool over night as the house isn't particularly well insulated. The bedrooms are in close quarter with thin walls, take that as you will. The location was central to the Coolum to Noosa Heads region, I would highly recommend having a car although local buses were free for the school holiday period. The Pergian shops offer many great dining and shopping options when Noosa is a bit busy.
I stayed in the beach shack with my two sisters and my brother-in law. Annie was overseas when we were there but her son arrived one day and spoke to some of my party. I was not there at the time but they said he was quite welcoming. There was a problem with the TV-no remote- but we managed to operate it without that. The house was bright, newly renovated, and the beds were clean and comfortable. It was really hot weather and the cool back yard was a bit of a mess with a good table and chairs there, which needed a good scrub but fine after I did that, and much cooler than the front. The local area was great, felt secure and peaceful, with lots of birds. I could hear the sea at night and walk about 5 minutes to the beach access. We enjoyed our stay very much.
Annie is a lovely person and the beach house is very sweet. I did enjoy my stay.
Unfortunately, Annie forgot I was arriving but swiftly made arrangements to have the house cleaned and let me in as soon as I contacted her. She came by to introduce herself and generously offered to drive me into Brisbane to visit friends. Although I didn't take her up on it I really appreciated her generosity.
I was, however, a bit thrown off guard when she asked if inspectors and real estate agents could come by during my visit because she is selling the house. I declined and she understood. I was a bit disappointed that the organic vegetable garden (which I believe was in the advertisement) was non-existent. I would also say that the yard was a bit messy and not well-kept. A man came intermittently during the time I was there to blow leaves but didn't really do much yard work. I had to remove bits and pieces of organic waste from the yard upon arrival (cantaloupe peels, for example). Although the inside of the house was reasonably clean the kitchen drawers and cupboards were not.
Given how hot it is on the Sunshine Coast the lack of screens on the upstairs windows became increasingly a problem. As indicated in an earlier review, one has to choose between unbearable heat or mosquito bites. I opted to leave the windows open because I couldn't sleep without the ocean breeze blowing through the house but, unfortunately, have a ridiculously large number of mosquito bites to show for it. I understand that this is a beach house and would never recommend air conditioning, but screens are only fair to guests.
Annie was, however, proactive in contacting me before a cyclone was due to hit the Sunshine Coast and let me know how best to prepare for it and to protect the house. Fortunately, everything was okay, but again I appreciated this effort.
The area was a bit isolating, especially if one doesn't have a car. You can walk to the town-area of Peregian Beach via the beach, however, which is nice. It takes about 20 minutes. You can catch a bus to Noosa but it takes 30 minutes.
Sheila arrived 3 days earlier than her booking but we were able to quickly clean the house. We apologise if the cleaners missed the kitchen drawers in their hurry. The peels in the backyard are left out for our many birds. The organic garden is fallow in the height of summer and replanted when it gets cool. Mosquito coils are effective for those rooms without screens, and were left on the front deck. Thankyou for acknowledging the breezes. We advise guests to hire a car as there is so much to see and do around Noosa and you need a car to get the best of the area. Sheila was here for a month. We provided her with a bike. The property has now sold and the new owner has taken on the bookings.
Hi Annie, just wanted to give you some feedback on your listing as we ended up having to leave and find new accommodation after just two nights.
Your listing advised that there was no air conditioning but that by opening the windows a sea breeze would cool things down. This was not the case and we found temperatures inside were the same as outside and certainly far hotter upstairs particularly at night; both nights tipping over 30 degrees, with the fans just moving the hot air around.
Having the windows open also meant that our kids were eaten alive by mosquitoes as you don't have fly screens.
All this made for a very uncomfortable stay and would suggest that a couple of split system air conditioners and some fly screens would solve this problem that must be experienced throughout the hotter months.
The location was perfect for us. We walked to town every day via the beach. The beach itself was quiet (which is exactly what we like!). We didn't stay in the house much, as it was very hot and there is no AC. We tried to explore the area or be on the beach as much as possible. Overall I would say it's a good place to have a a base for exploring and for playing on a very nice beach.
Enjoyable stay, close to the beach, well equipped. Plenty of space for a large family.
Annie was very nice and easy to communicate with. The house was very lovely and charming. The neighbourhood is very quite and peaceful. The house looks just like the photos.
It was more of drive than walk to Peregian shops and cafés but all fine. Walk to the beach and chill.
Overall we loved it.
