My stay with Kim and Claudia was delightful. They were both hospitable and welcoming. The room/space was VAST and lovely as described, with a bathroom to myself and availability of a terrific kitchen as well.
Kim and Claudia were very welcoming and gracious hosts. Kim was very helpful with beach recommendations and traffic pattern information. Their home was less than ten minutes to several great beaches. The room was exactly as pictured. The home was very peaceful, warm, and serene. I would love to return!
This was our second Airbnb experience ... and once again, it worked out extremely well for us. The room was spacious, tidy and welcoming. Kim and Claudia were gracious and inviting hosts.
Kim and Claudia's knowledge of the area, and travel suggestions were greatly appreciated.
The room was just as promised and Claudia and Kim were excellent hosts, making us feel at home and giving great advice on where to go around town for fun, baked goods, and the best coffee. I would recommend staying here for anyone looking for a good base from which to explore the area.
Kim and Claudia were very kind and welcoming. Their house has a warm feeling and has a lot of indoor plants which makes it a relaxing place. We completely enjoyed our bedroom. The house is quite close to Rio Del Mar beach and Nisene Marks State park , we had lot of fun and enjoyed eating food at the Sparrows.
About the Host, Kim And Claudia
Claudia and Kim are lovers of nature, art, music and travel. We have traveled most extensively in North America and Latin America, but our favorite destination, to date, is the Cinqua Terra coast & villages in Italy. Kim speaks Spanish. We have both studied Spanish abroad. Claudia just obtained her dual citizenship--USA & Italy. Professionally, Claudia is an accomplished artist, specializing in botanical painting. Kim is an environmental planner and owns his own consulting business. He also occasionally teaches English-as-a-Second-Language classes. Nature is our "spiritual guide". Kim is an avid long-distance runner and mt. biker. Claudia is an avid gardener. We love hiking, backpacking, kayaking and back-country telemark skiing. But we also enjoy World music, art and a relaxing walk on a nearby beach.

One of the best and oldest Mexican restaurants in Santa Cruz County. Has a different homemade special each night. Reasonable prices. Great margaritas! Reservations needed on weekends.
One of several state beaches in the county. Easy access from Rio Del Mar "flats". Typically, the waves are not so large to prevent ocean swimming. Nice running beach.
Cabrillo College has a new state-of-the-art theatre where live plays and other performances regularly occur throughout the year. (Not a bad seat in the house!)
