Private and comfortable big bedroom Studio with large matrimonial bed for up to 2 people. This bedroom has a private entrance facing a large patio/garden. With an ensuite medium large bathroom, this place is ideal for solo travelers or couples.
At a very good low price, this place is ideal for long term accommodation.

The space

The Studio bedroom is a guest house with a separate private entrance from the main house next to it. It faces a large patio/garden that you'll need to cross over to enter. The space has a table with 2 chairs and a kitchen cabinet where we have placed a small coffee machine, a toaster and utensils like plates, glasses and cups.

Guest access

The main house is off premises. Unfortunately you would not have access to the main house kitchen or laundry room.

Interaction with guests

I like to greet all my guests, so expect an initial meeting with us where we will provide you with a map and some instructions and recommendation. I am easily accessible. My house is in the same street, not far from where you are. The best way to reach me is to contact me throughout this platform or by sending me a note. I'll promise I will reply within 30 minutes during regular working hours.
Please note that we can also coordinate your tours if needed. Simply let us know which tour you would like me to coordinate, and let me know in advance. The tours we can coordinate are: City Tours, Sacred Vallet, Maras, Moray and Salineras, Rainbow Mountain, Tipon and Andahuaylillas.

If you need to go to Poroy or Ollantaytambo train station, we can also coordinate your transport. Please inquire if interested.

Other things to note

Here are some suggestions:
1) It is always better to come with all your entrances on hand to your visit to Machu Picchu. So please inquire if you do not know how to obtain them prior to your arrival. I'll be glad to guide you step by step.

2) If doing the Inka Trek, the Salkantay trek or the Lares, please provide my contact number as a reference to your travel agency.

3) Please note that I can make reservation some of the following reservation on your behalf: CITY TOUR, SACRED VALLEY TOUR, RAINBOW MOUNTAIN, AND MARAS MORAY TOUR.

4) If you require pick up to/from Ollantaytambo station, Poroy Station, Pachar Station or Wanchaq station, please let me know. I can arrange this service for you. It will always be cheaper and safer.

I have been to many AirBnBs, and Monica was certainly one of the best hosts I have met! She was very well organized to inform us about transportation, tours, restaurants, etc. Concerning the apartment, it was very clean, well located and well equipped. The bed was warm and confortable, which is much appreciated during the fresh nights in Cusco. I highly recommend to anyone to book a room or apartment with Monica!

Great place to stay a short distance from town, comfy bed and great value for money. Monica was very kind and made extra effort to accommodate our early check out time.

Monica’s is the perfect place due to it’s convenient location and great amenities. I cannot say enough about how much I enjoyed my stay a Monica’s and how much choosing her property made my stay convenient, productive, and highly enjoyable. First, location and logistics. Monica’s properties are located in a very clean, safe area within a convenient 10-15 minute walk or 5 sole taxi to key areas such as Plaza de Armas, Qoriqancha, Mercado San Pedro, and the craft market. I was working remotely during my stay, so the central location allowed me to make daily trips to explore Cusco during the 2-4 hour breaks I would get during the day. All the tourist attractions and restaurants are easily accessible, but her location also puts you near key amenities like grocery stores, laundromats, bakeries, local fruit vendors, and restaurants frequented by locals. The room was beautifully decorated and had great light during the day and the bed had very warm blankets for the cold evenings. A space heater was available, but I found I didn’t need it thanks to the great bedding. The bedroom and bathroom was always immaculate, just as the rest of the home, thanks to the attentive nature of Monica and the housekeeper. The shower always had good water pressure and hot water ready to go, which is not always the case in Cusco homes. Wi-fi was very reliable, which was critical as I was working remotely during my stay. However, what makes Monica’s properties so special is Monica herself. She was able to accommodate my early arrival, and sat with me for 30 minutes at check-in giving me an invaluable orientation of Cusco. She even provides a hand drawn, color coded map of the area showing restaurants, attractions and amenities. Thanks to Monica’s advice and the assistance of that map, I was able to maneuver the city with ease and without having to buy a sim card for my phone. I even used that map to help multiple other tourists find directions or recommendations for dinner. Monica will also set up various tours with convenient pick up from her place. The tours are an excellent way to see the sites, and offered very competitive rates. Monica herself is a wealth of information on all things Cusco, from cuisine to art. Thanks Monica for being such and accommodating host. I look forward to staying with you the next time I’m in Cusco

Monika was full of information about Cusco and its surroundings as well as advising us about our health (altitude sickness) and practical safety advice. This is valuable as many people underestimate the effect that it can have on you. Monika's Place was a 10-15 minute walk to the main plaza. Monika also offered help to organize drivers and tours for us. She was always highly efficient and helpful. I would advise travellers not to rush their stay in Cusco to allow yourself to adjust to the altitude and to enjoy all that Cusco has to offer.

Wonderful home, beautiful garden. The room was perfect, and Monica was an amazing host. She gave me some great advice, and was always incredibly welcoming. Her home is just a short walk from the main square, but far enough that you aren't too disturbed by the parades and events that can stretch into the evening. A short walk from the bars, restaurants and shops, and Monica prepares a comprehensive map so you can find amenities that you need such as laundrettes, supermarkets, ATMs, buses to the Sacred Valley, as well as the main historic sites in the centre. As a solo traveller this was ideal for me as I was able to get advice from Monica about places to shop, how to barter, and the best points to get collected for various excursions. On top of this Monica was able to organise trips for me too, and these were high quality and collected from her house. In addition, if like me you are an animal lover her cats are happy to oblige you with cuddles. Valentina in particular is an angel. Overall an amazing stay! Thank you Monica!

Monica is an amazing host! She welcomed us with coca tea which we can have more anytime. We are so impressed with her handwritten-map of Cuzco which helped us walking around the city. She also arranged taxi to the airport and tour around Cuzco which is very convenient for us who did not prepare much in advance and we just followed her house's manual. We also dropped a cell phone in a taxi that Monica arranged, and she helped us get it back. Her place is walkable to Plaza de Amas. Groceries and restaurants are close. The room is cozy and warm and hot shower is reliable. If I have to go back to Cuzco, I will definitely stay with her again.
