Where you’ll be

Oslo, Norway

There are several small and cozy parks nearby. It's very nice to walk along the river Akerselva, both up and down. Nydalen is a growing part og Oslo and has cafes, restaurants, bathing, cinema, shopping centre, etc.

Here is a list of restaurants I like and stuff to do and places to go :)

Restaurants and cafes near by:
- Mat&Mer - cozy, good food, ok prices
- Bamboo Sagene - for take-away, very good red curry, cheap (compared to Norwegian prices).
- Caminito - Very cozy pizza place and a cozy cafe. It’s in the area Torshov.
- Xeast - Very nice thai food. Just five minutes walk.
- Pho Mai - Vietnamese good food. Cheap. Nice owner, an older Vietnamese guy. Say hello from me, Morten the football player :) Also Torshov area.
- Jewel of India - Good Indian food. Ok prices. The area called Sandaker.
- Lofthus - Very good pizza.
- Godt Brød. Cozy cafe with good food just five minutes walk up the river.

If you want to make food home I recommend the shop in the «basement» of Storo Storsenter, just 5 minutes walk from me. They have lots of fruits and vegetables and spices and is cheap.

- Nydalen Mat og Vinhus five minutes walk. Lots of different beers. Nice food as well.
- Bar Polar ten minutes walk.
Several nice bars at Torshov:
- Nieu, bar and a humor scene.
- Albatross, hip and cozy.
- Bruun Larsen, brown pub.
- Grisen, nice bar and good food.
- Mysterud, very cozy bar (at Sagene).
The areas Grünerløkka and Youngstorget have a lot of nice places to go out. At Youngstorget most places you have to be older than 23 to come in.

To do/go:
Well, a walk along the river is nice.
Take a swim in the river. Go up the river and you'll find several places for bathing.
Teknisk museum at Kjelsås is very nice!
Frognerparken if you want some sculpture art.
Nieu scene if you want some humor shows.
Det Andre Teatret if you like improv shows.
Grefsenkollen if you want a beautiful view of the city.
