Great value for the number of nights we stayed here! Very large room where we ended up staying. Though not necessarily close to the city center, it was a safe area and had no trouble calling an Uber to take us where we needed to go and back. Highly recommend!

We had a great stay. We were so welcomed by an older lady (mom, maybe) who was so nice and helpful. She has a convenience store downstairs if you need anything you can buy from her. So appreciate the hot water! Convenient location.

The house is located a bit dangerous area for tourist. But the house was private and huge place. Wifi was faster than hotels in Lima. Only problem was that he might try to charge extra fee for transportation(taxi) from airport to his house (round trip)even though I already paid 40 dollars extra except rent fee. I do not recommend that guests order him about the taxi from airport. It might be trouble with him. If you just wanna stay at chap place, it would be ok.

The pictures are very misleading. When I was reading the reviews everything seemed okay and looking at the pictures I thought I made a good decision to picking Ronald's place. (1) It was very difficult for the Taxi driver to find this place (2) The apartment was on the roof top in a little room (3) I was expecting 5 beds like in the photo and a small living room w/ kitchen. And what I got was this little room w/ 3 small beds and 1 of them didn't even have sheets on them. The space was very small and I just didn't feel safe. It was very disappointing that the photos in the picture were nothing like what I got. It was VERY MISLEADING! And when I told Ronald about it he said that the other unit that I was supposed to get had a plumbing issue so that is why we got that unit. However, he should have told us ahead of time so that we could have arranged something else! So my 5 friends and I contacted Ronald and he said he was going to give us a refund since we were not going to stay there for the night. I messaged him for a refund, and I still haven't gotten a response yet and its been 2 weeks. I am very disappointed.

The apartment is in a residential area. There is a super market nearby. The taxi driver who drove us to the apartment said the area was very bad and we should not walk outside. We were really scared initially. However, after talking to Ronald's relative (Ronald was out when we arrived), we were told it was safe to walk to the supermarket. We did walk to the supermarket around 7pm and came back around 9pm. The apartment was next to a major road (Colonial Ave), so we felt safe walking along the Colonial Ave. The area is definitely not as good as Barranco or Miraflores. The apartment was about 20 minutes from the airport and 10-15 minutes to the historical center. We had the entire apartment (5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms) to ourselves, so it was very spacious as we only had four people. The apartment was being renovated, so you will see some unfinished areas. There was hot water all the time. While Ronald wasn't there when we arrived, he put four bottles of water on the dining table, which was very nice. Ronald also helped us reserve the taxi for our early departure flight. Overall, it was a good stay.

My family and I are opening our house to travelers. We like to interact with people from different cultural background and make our airbnb guests feel as they are part of our family.

We also would like to share what we know about Lima and where to go in Lima. This cultural exchange gives us the opportunity to tell you who we are. We like to keep contact with international people and hear things about their travelings.

We offer you a safe, quiet, and nice environment.

Some advantages of my home are:
My house is well located between the Lima International Airport and Downtown Lima. We are 15-20 minutes by taxi to downtown Lima. Some places, we suggest, to see in downtown are:
- Cathedral of Lima (Catacombs of Lima)
- The Franciscan Monastery
- The Government Palace
- Malecon del Rio (Pier of the river)

You can also take the panoramic bus and you can compare the old Lima and new Lima, that has over 8 million inhabitants. We can consider it as a busy city.

Peru is three times the size of California. So you have a lot to see other than Cusco and Puno.
If you like eating, you should check out Peru’s annual food festival in Lima, Mistura, (more than 300,000 attendees). The next one is in September 2015. You can spend all day in this huge fair. Seafood, Steaks, rotisserie chicken, pork and lamb (and many vegetarian options too!).

Drinks like Pisco Sour, Purple Corn juice (Chicha Morada) and Fermented Corn juice (also called Peruvian/Inca beer) or Chicha de Jora are a must.

Desserts made of dark chocolate, rice pudding with purple corn pudding, and ice creams like Zambito are just delicious.
