  • Aparmento era nuevo y limpio. La zona del apartmento es bueno y seguro, pero no es central. Tiene tomar taxi para ir al centro. No tiene TV y la internet es lento y malo. La senora de casa es muy amable y nos ayuda

  • The space was cute small and cozy. It was just what we needed after hours of traveling and arriving super late. We really appreciate Humberto and his family for accepting and waiting for us to get there after midnight. It is well kept and really clean! Its close to the airport but a little away from tourist attractions. We did get to eat breakfast close by at the little market which fed 4 of us for about 16 soles. Crazy! and yummy. I recommend this place if you are on a budget!!! :)

  • The apartment was clean and nice and convenient to the airport. The host was nice and helpful and accommodating for my late arrival. It is unfortunately not as close to many other things as I would prefer but the value was good. Someone locked the middle door late one night in the middle of my stay but they came out and opened it for me with no problem. The water pressure was low and took more time than I am used to to become hot but only once did I have a problem with the water stopping twice during my shower. It restarted a minute later. There was a loud birthday party nearby late Saturday night (something the host had no control over) which might bother some but it wasn't a big problem for me. The street is gated on the busy end but at least one of the sidewalk gates was always open. The taxis were not always sure where to go so be sure you know how to get back to the place. The neighborhood beyond is much nicer than the avenue it is off of so don't be freaked out by the avenue on approach from the airport (also, the taxis will try to overcharge so be careful particularly from the airport - it took 10 minutes at 1:00 am and 15-20 in the daytime)

About
My family and I are opening our house to travelers. We like to interact with people from different cultural background and make our airbnb guests feel as they are part of our family. We also would like to share what we know about Lima and where to go in Lima. This cultural exchange gives us the opportunity to tell you who we are. In addition to that, we can speak some English and Spanish. We like to keep contact with international people and hear things about their travelings. We offer you a safe, quiet, and nice environment. Some advantages of my home are: My house is well located between the Lima International Airport and Downtown Lima. We are 15-20 minutes by taxi to downtown Lima. Some places, we suggest, to see in downtown are: - Cathedral of Lima (Catacombs of Lima) - The Franciscan Monastery - The Government Palace - Malecon del Rio (Pier of the river) You can also take the panoramic bus and you can compare the old Lima and new Lima, that has over 8 million inhabitants. We can consider it as a busy city. Peru is three times the size of California. So you have a lot to see other than Cusco and Puno. If you like eating, you should check out Peru’s annual food festival in Lima, Mistura, (more than 300,000 attendees). The next one is in September 2014. You can spend all day in this huge fair. Seafood, Steaks, rotisserie chicken, pork and lamb (and many vegetarian options too!). Drinks like Pisco Sour, Purple Corn juice (Chicha Morada) and Fermented Corn juice (also called Peruvian/Inca beer) or Chicha de Jora are a must. Desserts made of dark chocolate, rice pudding with purple corn pudding, and ice creams like Zambito are just delicious. If you have any questions, please email us. We are here to help you. Humberto
