I actually ended up staying in another apartment Ronald has listed in the same building, but it was great. It was clean and had everything I needed.
This place is perfect for a later arrival to Lima. Using a registered green cab to get there was recommended to us and successful. (website hidden) maps was close but not right on. We stopped over for just one night then stayed in Mirasflores. There were a few neighbors up partying late as there is a university in the area. It was a Saturday night but they were still very audible. Internet was good at night but couldn't be found in the morning.
Einfache und saubere Unterkunft alles in Ordnung!
We enjoyed our one night stay here. Our host Ronald has been in touch with me since I made the booking. He gave detailed instructions on how to get to the place and made sure that there would be someone there to let us in when we arrive. He kindly allowed us to keep our luggage at his place till late on the day we checked out. The one bedroom apartment is simple but very clean and comfortable, perfect for a good night of rest after an overnight bus from Cusco. It's located on a main avenue half way between downtown Lima and the airport. It costed us S./12-15 to get to downtown and S./ 25 to get to the airport by Taxi. There are restaurants, ATMs, supermarkets and convenient stores within walking distance. We were able to find a place to eat after 10pm. The WiFi has good signal strength and speed. There was a good selection of tea bags and coffee available in the Kitchen.
Ronald was incredible. Good english, and quick communication. The suite I stayed in was at the top of the building. Perfect for a layover. The space was clean and quite large, and very secure.
It is close to downtown and the airport.
Roland is very helpful. we felt free to stay in his apt. the surronding area is quiet. neighborhood shops are convenient and friendly～

My family and I are opening our house to travelers. We like to interact with people from different cultural background and make our airbnb guests feel as they are part of our family.
We also would like to share what we know about Lima and where to go in Lima. This cultural exchange gives us the opportunity to tell you who we are. We like to keep contact with international people and hear things about their travelings.
We offer you a safe, quiet, and nice environment.
Some advantages of my home are:
My house is well located between the Lima International Airport and Downtown Lima. We are 15-20 minutes by taxi to downtown Lima. Some places, we suggest, to see in downtown are:
- Cathedral of Lima (Catacombs of Lima)
- The Franciscan Monastery
- The Government Palace
- Malecon del Rio (Pier of the river)
You can also take the panoramic bus and you can compare the old Lima and new Lima, that has over 8 million inhabitants. We can consider it as a busy city.
Peru is three times the size of California. So you have a lot to see other than Cusco and Puno.
If you like eating, you should check out Peru’s annual food festival in Lima, Mistura, (more than 300,000 attendees). The next one is in September 2015. You can spend all day in this huge fair. Seafood, Steaks, rotisserie chicken, pork and lamb (and many vegetarian options too!).
Drinks like Pisco Sour, Purple Corn juice (Chicha Morada) and Fermented Corn juice (also called Peruvian/Inca beer) or Chicha de Jora are a must.
Desserts made of dark chocolate, rice pudding with purple corn pudding, and ice creams like Zambito are just delicious.
