Ronald apartment was the Best we ever tried, they were spacions in bedroom Nice kitchen and bathroom with hot water, we were picked up from AirPort as agreed and Ronald received US with hospitality and lidenskab , there were City Map on the table and he gave US Many information . There were clean towels tee coffee and other small thing to eat, and Household matters. Neat and clean everything . Good coating from center, I will come back:)
Ronald was very helpful in arranging transportation from the airport and to the bus station the next day. The room was spacious, the beds comfortable, and the water hot. Three people could comfortably stay here.
There wasn't much to see or eat within walking distance of the apartment, and being unfamiliar with the language and customs, I wasn't completely comfortable going to the market across the street to buy something to cook. Still, I was able to eat.
The road noise was moderate, and being fairly warm, I slept with the windows open. If you sleep lightly, the noise might be a bother, but I was exhausted from traveling and didn't mind.
I think if I intended to spend several days in Lima as a tourist, I'd look somewhere else, just because of the neighborhood being mostly residential. But, for an overnight stay after a flight, it was perfect, and at a good price.
The apartment was perfect for two. Robert was very kind and resourceful. He even leaves snacks for his guest! We took public transportation everywhere and it was really simple to get around. The location is perfect if you want to be close to the airport for a quick visit.
Great experience with host. Flexible check in and out helped my crazy schedule so much, and they were very kind about calling me a cab in the morning.
Ronald was very helpful and arranged our transportation both to and from the airport. He was very accommodating with our delayed flight and made himself available in the middle of the night to welcome us to Lima. Very clean, private accommodations, close to the airport - exactly as described.
Ronald made it easier for us by arranging us a taxi from the airport to his place, greeted us at the door, welcoming us and showing us around. The place is indeed within 15 minutes of the airport, which made it very easy to come back to after our trip was over. The place was exactly as described, and we definitely enjoyed our stay during the short duration we had in Lima. Thanks for everything Ronald!
Ronald greeted us in person even though we arrived at 3 in the morning. The room was clean, well furnished and welcoming. It was well worth the price of the room for how for the space that was provided. It was an easy taxi ride to anywhere you would like to go.

About the Host, Ronald
My family and I are opening our house to travelers. We like to interact with people from different cultural background and make our airbnb guests feel as they are part of our family.
We also would like to share what we know about Lima and where to go in Lima. This cultural exchange gives us the opportunity to tell you who we are. We like to keep contact with international people and hear things about their travelings.
We offer you a safe, quiet, and nice environment.
Some advantages of my home are:
My house is well located between the Lima International Airport and Downtown Lima. We are 15-20 minutes by taxi to downtown Lima. Some places, we suggest, to see in downtown are:
- Cathedral of Lima (Catacombs of Lima)
- The Franciscan Monastery
- The Government Palace
- Malecon del Rio (Pier of the river)
You can also take the panoramic bus and you can compare the old Lima and new Lima, that has over 8 million inhabitants. We can consider it as a busy city.
Peru is three times the size of California. So you have a lot to see other than Cusco and Puno.
If you like eating, you should check out Peru’s annual food festival in Lima, Mistura, (more than 300,000 attendees). The next one is in September 2015. You can spend all day in this huge fair. Seafood, Steaks, rotisserie chicken, pork and lamb (and many vegetarian options too!).
Drinks like Pisco Sour, Purple Corn juice (Chicha Morada) and Fermented Corn juice (also called Peruvian/Inca beer) or Chicha de Jora are a must.
Desserts made of dark chocolate, rice pudding with purple corn pudding, and ice creams like Zambito are just delicious.
