Experience the charm of Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn! A traditionally Italian-American neighborhood, it is now dotted with lovely boutiques, shops and cafes, and yet has retained many of its long-standing family run businesses.
Try the lard bread at Caputo's Bakery on the next block, or experience the best classic Italian sandwich at Esposito & Sons meat shop just two blocks over. Then stop in for an afternoon beer at the Alpine restaurant, Brooklyn Buschenshank, conveniently located on the ground floor. Please check my guidebook for more suggestions on other great neighborhood places!
The apartment is located in a building on a prime corner in quaint Carroll Gardens only two short blocks from the (F) subway. What was once a brothel in the '50s and '60s is now a very spacious but cozy 3 bedroom/1 bathroom flat on the 3rd floor.
Upon entering the apartment you will walk into a beautiful, tranquil, and spacious living room with an open kitchen layout. There are three bedrooms. Two of them have two windows each overlooking Court Street, and the third bedroom has one window overlooking Sackett Street. Original wood ceiling beams give charm to the space.
The apartment also features:
Three queen beds with white bedding
Bathroom with tub & shower
Fresh towels and linens
Utensils/pots for cooking
4-burner stove and oven
Iron & Board
It is a 3 floor walk-up.
Please, no smoking and no pets.
The F/G train at Carroll Street is a 5 minute walk.
Please respect the space like it is your own. If you have any issues, or something is broken, don't hesitate to contact me.
We stayed at Amy's apartment during the christmas and new year period. The apartment is as advertised and located in a nice neighbourhood with many shops and restaurants within walking distance. Brooklyn downtown is also just a short walk away from this apartment. Travelling to Manhattan is easy on the F train which comes regularly. I would definitely recommend this place to any others who are considering it.
Beste uitzicht ever.
Amazing as always!! Third time staying here and it gets better every time!
We stayed at Amy's place with 5 people and had a great time . The apartment was clean, the beds comfortable and communication with Amy was easy. It was our first stay in Brooklyn and we loved this neighbourhood. Nice bars, restaurants and shops around the corner filled with locals made you feel like being a part of this community. Hope to come back sometime.
Lovely flat and great location on a busy Brooklyn street. Plenty of places to eat and drink in the area and some lovely parks for the kids to play in. Especially nice down at the waterfront park. Also very handy for the F line into Manhattan or a 29 minute walk to the ferry.
Amy very helpful in rearranging our trip after we had to cancel our first one at short notice and also for arranging a cot for our little one.
All in all a great place to stay.
I would definitely recommend this apartment where we just spent a week with my teenagers. We selected it for its “New York style”, its size and location and it fulfilled all those criteria. We immediately felt like at home . Table was prepared for our arrival with flowers, which was really charming. We needed to involve Amy who has shown that reactive distance by involving the manager (on the same floor). Clean, bright , simply and lovely decorated, it is ideal for a family or group of friends . The facilities are basic but adequate and high quality bedding .
15/20 minutes by taxi or subway from the center of Manhattan , it is well located in a charming neighborhood of Brooklyn, in a shopping street both lively and quiet, which is nice in the evening or in the morning.
If you are looking for authenticity and charm , this apartment is perfect and do not stop to criticism on the floor , the windows ... which are definitely in the standard or New York apartments … and which are nothing compared the great atmosphere.
Excellent place! The four of us stayed 8 days at the apartment, and we had a wonderful time. 'The best week ever', as one of our daughters said. Great space, very clean, and location, location. What a treat to come back by the F-line (15 minutes) after a day in Manhattan and join the perfect easygoing atmosphere of Smithstreet and Courtstreet. No tourists, a lot of fine restaurant, nice coffee- and fruit juice places, markets.
We certainly want to come back!

Hey, I'm Amy. Originally from TX, I'm a busy mom and have lived in NY for 10 years now. I love living downtown and exploring all it has to offer. I also love reading, running, and sewing.
