Experience the charm of Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn! A traditionally Italian-American neighborhood, it is now dotted with lovely boutiques, shops and cafes, and yet has retained many of its long-standing family run businesses.
Try the lard bread at Caputo's Bakery on the next block, or experience the best classic Italian sandwich at Esposito & Sons meat shop just two blocks over. Then stop in for an afternoon beer at the Alpine restaurant, Brooklyn Buschenshank, conveniently located on the ground floor. Please check my guidebook for more suggestions on other great neighborhood places!
The apartment is located in a building on a prime corner in quaint Carroll Gardens only two short blocks from the (F) subway. What was once a brothel in the '50s and '60s is now a very spacious but cozy 3 bedroom/1 bathroom flat on the 3rd floor.
Upon entering the apartment you will walk into a beautiful, tranquil, and spacious living room with an open kitchen layout. There are three bedrooms. Two of them have two windows each overlooking Court Street, and the third bedroom has one window overlooking Sackett Street. Original wood ceiling beams give charm to the space.
The apartment also features:
Three queen beds with white bedding
Bathroom with tub & shower
Fresh towels and linens
Utensils/pots for cooking
4-burner stove and oven
Iron & Board
It is a 3 floor walk-up.
Please, no smoking and no pets.
The F/G train at Carroll Street is a 5 minute walk.
Please respect the space like it is your own. If you have any issues, or something is broken, don't hesitate to contact me.
The apartment was great for four of us - two adults and two teenage children. It is roomy and stylishly decorated. The location is excellent - in a relaxed, trendy and safe neighbourhood, 5 minutes to the Subway and surrounded by great restaurants, on Court Street, Smith Street, Henry Street etc. Caputo's Bake Shop over the road is a bargain and highly recommended!
Amy's apartment in Carroll Gardens was perfect for our family of four, set on a relatively quiet street with great shops and restaurants nearby, making eating in or out great options. Access to Manhattan was easy and we spent a good day walking to and over Brooklyn Bridge. Prospect Park was a nice run away. Arrangements were seamless and Amy was great on tips for travel to and from, shame we didn't get to meet! To be recommended. Many thanks.
Fantastic apartment in a great part of Brooklyn. Direct subway into Manhattan but lots to do locally as well. We had a couple of teething problems but Amy sorted everything out very quickly and was extremely amenable.
Amy was great. Check in was easy and the place is great. There were a few small problems with water and leaking (as is common with older buildings). However, any compensated by allowing us to use the apartment next door for the entirety of the stay. Definitely a responsive host!
We stayed at Amy's apartment during the christmas and new year period. The apartment is as advertised and located in a nice neighbourhood with many shops and restaurants within walking distance. Brooklyn downtown is also just a short walk away from this apartment. Travelling to Manhattan is easy on the F train which comes regularly. I would definitely recommend this place to any others who are considering it.
Beste uitzicht ever.
Amazing as always!! Third time staying here and it gets better every time!

Hey, I'm Amy. Originally from TX, I'm a busy mom and have lived in NY for 10 years now. I love living downtown and exploring all it has to offer. I also love reading, running, and sewing.
