The apartment is located on the first floor of a building typical of the area. The street is very quiet and silent. It is a spacious apartment with two bedrooms, kitchen, private bathroom with shower, lounge and dining room with two beautiful balconies outside. The size of the apartment is 90square meters
Its proximity to the circuit of the museums (Prado, Reina Sofia, Thyssen, Caixa Forum) as well as the Historic Area of the city makes it a unique option.
Plaza de Santa Ana is the heart of the neighborhood “El Barrio de las Letras”. It is the neighborhood with the largest concentration of most successful writers in the history of mankind as authors of the Golden Age of Spanish literature: Lope de Vega , Quevedo, Góngora ...
Miguel de Cervantes lived in the number 18 of Huertas Street, the most bohemian of the city, located near the Palacio de las Cortes (Congress of Deputies) and the three major museums in Madrid: Prado, Reina Sofia and Thyssen-Bornemisza , that is today the largest concentration of art around the world.
The visitor must walk by Huertas and its surroundings: the León Street, the Lope de Vega Street, the Cervantes Street
You should enjoy its many cafes, taverns and restaurants where the aroma is unmistakable blend of Spanish Golden Age with the vanguard of artistic and creative city. Not to mention the reading of excerpts from major works of writers who lived there and have featured on the pavement. Hosts numerous shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs that make it one of the nerve centres of the historical city centre.
We offer the possibility that, upon his arrival you have a kit of food in the apartment. If you wish, we can make a basic shopping (milk, bread, fruit, butter, coffee, ham, cheese ....)

This apartment was a perfect home base for my vacation in Madrid. My friend and I had a great time there. There was a small issue with the washing machine and Elisa dealt with it quickly and without an problems. Thanks a lot!!
Elisa's staff were very well organised and Elisa was always available on the phone or via email for any queries or questions.
I recommend this place for anyone going to Madrid, the flat is in a great area.
The apartment was perfect for our stay in Madrid. It's spacious and comfortable, and we really felt at home there. The best part was the neighborhood - Las Letras/Huertas: Quiet, charming, but lined with little tapas bars and restaurants, the original homes of Lope de Vega, Cervantes and other notable writers, and within a short walk to the Prado, the Thyssen, and the Reina Sophia. We hope to stay at Vintage in the City again!
We loved the apartment, fantastic location, great communication from host with thoughtful recommendations for entertainment based on our personal requests. Thanks for a great stay in Madrid Elisa !
The apartment is great; quite comfortable, absolutely huge, well equipped, attractively furnished, quiet in the bedrooms and most importantly, perfectly located between the various areas of interest
So all in all we had a good stay and rate the apartment itself highly. The only negative of note is that the shower runs out of hot water very quickly so the 2 of us had to ration how we used it
A big annoyance re the whole experience was the E40 cleaning fee and E30 late check in fee that must be paid in cash on arrival. Yes its written in the blurb but its easy to overlook and all charges should be conducted via AirBnB rather than in this way (which is unique). Furthermore these charges are outrageously high
Nice appartment and a very good location in de midlle of the centre and a upcoming quarter (Cortes). The beds are for long persons, I am 1.85 mtr, too short. In the night its quiet.
Great apartment in the most fantastic location, a stone's throw from the heart of Madrid. Elisa's flat is everything it's cracked up to be - really large, full of character, very well presented, clean, lovely dining /breakfast area and ideal for either a couple (if you want loads of extra space) or for 4 people. There is also a great tapas bar around the corner towards Calle Atocha (cant remember the name of it now, red grating on the windows, lots of bullfighting pics etc on the walls, very friendly staff) We spent many evenings there drinking tinto de verano and enjoying whatever tapas treat that appeared from behind the bar! On arrival at the flat we were met by a lovely lady called Ana who was super helpful and friendly and then we didnt hear a word and were completely left to enjoy our holiday, which was ideal! Definitely recommend. Thanks!
Great location, very close to metro and only a 5 - 10 minute walk to shops, bars and museums.
Really spacious apartment
Very spatial and clean appartement. Central location is great!
