About this listing
My cozy and well equipped apt with garage is all you need for a perfect stay in Barcelona. It's walking distance to the beach and conveniently located in a quiet neighbourhood with easy access to sights! NO CLEANING FEE FOR STAYS OF AT LEAST 3 NIGHTS
The apartment is on the 6th floor of a modern building, with 4 LIFTS and conceirge overlooking southest, so the house is very sunny. I put a lot of energy in making it a cozy home (also because it's my home the weekends that I'm in Barcelona), not a cold flat for tourists and I really want to make you feel at home from the very first moment.
There is a double bed in the bedroom and a sofa bed for other 2 people in the living room. However, I only accept 4 people on an individual case by case basis, so don't hesitate to contact me anyway if you are more than 2.
You'll have access to the entire space and the parking lot located on the basement of the building. Anything you'll find in the apartment is for your use and enterteinment:) My home has everything you would expect to find in a house you'd be living. It includes:
These are the AMENITIES you'll find:
* A fully equiped kitchen
* 32" Flat TV (plus a cable to connect any device with a HDMI plug)
* Hi-Fi system, with CD player and USB to plug your Iphone or Ipod
* Air conditioning
* Motorised blinds
* 100 MG WI-FI
* Washing machine
* A cot for those travelling with babies
* Books and CDs to play some music

I also provide, of course, FRESH TOWELS and LINEN. a welcome BREAKFAST PACKAGE with tea, coffee, juice, milk, a cake, bread and FRESH FRUIT.
Interaction with guests
Since I live in Madrid, I won't normally be able to meet you at your arrival, but my mother will. You can check in past reviews how great she is despite not speaking a word of English:) I'm always reachable by email and respond quickly to emails, queries and concerns. Also, I'm always ready to tell you my favourite places in Barcelona!
This is one of the most modern areas of the city, the district 22@, in Poblenou. District 22@ is the innovation district, a quiet area with a lot of space and very, very safe, sorrounded by green areas and on walking distance to the beach. It is also very well communicated with the centre. A quiet neighbourhood made of young people and young families. The charm of a different "Ramblas", those of Poblenou will captivate you... since here you'll feel how is it like being a local in modern Barcelona.
Actually, the entire Poblenou is undergoing since year 2004 a transformation similar to what took place in other Western cities as neighborhoods Williamsburg and Meatpacking District in New York and the conducted by Wynwood Arts District in Miami. I will be happy to show you my favourite art galleries around!
HOW TO ARRIVE AND MOVE AROUND
Public transportation connections are:
METRO: the nearest metro stop (SELVA DE MAR) is 2 blocks away. Line 4 will take you in 8 minutes you'll be in Jaume I (Born, the Picasso Museum, Santa María del Mar) and in 12 minutes you'll be in Passeig de Gracia, just a few meters away from La Pedrera.
BUS: Bus no. 7 is in front of the building and goes to the city centre as well, while bus 46 drives you to Poble Sec and Paral.lel. At night, the night bus no. 7 stops on the corner of my building, so that you don't have to use taxis. On the weekends, the metro works all night in Barcelona!
TRAM: Tram can be useful to get to Sant Adrià del Besos and from there take the train to the beach towns to the north of Barcelona, such as beautiful Tossa de Mar and gorgeous Sant Pol de Mar, both former fishermen villages. Or you can take it on the other direction to Glories and there change to the metro going to Plaça Catalunya.
Other relevant distances are:
AIRPORT: about 50 min with Aerobús + metro
TRAIN: 30 minutes from Sants Estació / 15 minutes from Estació de França
BUS: 20 minutes from Estació del Nord
Please note that transportation time is calculated since the moment you take the first metro/bus downtown. Once you'll book, you'll received detailed directions to get to the apartment, including maps.
All in all, you'll have so many options to get downtown and around.
Other things to note
Before booking, please send me an email introducing yourselves a bit (i.e. who you are, what you do, your purpose of the trip... I don't know, the kind of things you'd like to know from someone that's going to stay in your house). Knowing you better will also help me to give you some tips of what to do and what to see in Barcelona. I'm an expert on exploring cities in an off-the-beaten track mood and I will be happy to help you to discover the real Barcelona! In the meantime you can take a lot at all the sites I've listed in the map!
I look forward to meeting you, I'm sure you won't regret it!
I have very little rules, but I expect guests to respect them:
*Treat my home as it'd be yours
* Smoking is not allowed, nor are pets
* Stays of less than 3 nights shall pay a cleaning fee of 30 euros in cash to my mother for the extra work involved by such short stays
* Respect of neighbourhs is a MUST. Keep noise to a minimum after 11pm (and no parties are allowed) and at all times in the common areas of the building.
* Make sure to deposit garbage in the garbage room (located in the ground floor of the building, besides the lifts)
* Please leave the apartment as you found it (no dirty dishes or dishes in the dishwasher) and if something is broken, tell me, don't wait for me or my mother to find it out... it's very disappointing:)
I am a womain in her mid thirties that still feels very, very young. I've been an independent traveller for years, eagering to learn from places and people. Me and my backpack (my longest relationship, we've been together for 17 years already and although it's a bit torn already, I can't abandon it). I also love reading, one of the authors I've been reading more lately is Stefan Zweig, I could say he is one of my favourites. I like trying to make the outmost of my life, this is why I abbandonned my confort zone of my career as a lawyer to become an actress and theatre producer. I love life and love, music, dancing, the sun, the sea, walking under the rain without an umbrella and the snow. I like surprises. I love getting lost and finding my way out, discovering things for the first time and l learning new things everyday.
I used to rent a spare room in my apartment in Madrid, and I enjoyed having people with me and as a host I try to make people feel at home when they stay with me. It was fantastic to get the opportunity to meet people that otherwise I would have never met. This is not the case of my apartment in Barcelona, since I rent it entirely while I'm not there. This means that probably we won't meet, but you'll be greeted by my mother, who is fantastic and for sure will give you a warm welcome (in Spanish).
I think life is so perfect if we watch it with the right look. I couldn't live not feeling happy when I wake up every morning.
Hugs from Spain!
